Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III has been announced as under development by Relic!

This was revealed thanks to THQ Core Boss Danny Bilson, who said that a “next-generation” sequel in the series is in the works and that it will deliver some new stuff fans haven’t seen before. While also hearkening back to the first game in some areas.

The game will also have a much larger strategic component to the gameplay, along with a global battle, “sort of like an MMO”.

To quote:
“We’re working on the next-generation of that franchise right now. I feel like an ass saying it’s fantastic, but it is. And we’re going to do something with it you haven’t seen before.

Preserving some things that have always been great about the first two generations of it, going back to 1 on some things, 2 on some things, and 3 will bring us some new things.
