Binary Domain Release Date Announced

Who is humanity’s true enemy? Players will find out February next year!

Binary Domain will launch in 2012, with the North American version releasing on February 14, followed by the Japanese version on February 16, and the European version on February 17, 2012!

The upcoming squad-based shooter title is currently under development by, new kids on the block, Yakuza Studios and helmed by Sega’s leading man, Toshihiro Nagoshi – a.k.a. the man who brought you the Yakuza series.

Binary Domain puts players in the middle of a fast paced and intense battle for humanity in a robot-invaded 2080 Tokyo. After the Geneva code is broken, machines join society as a result. They grow in number and eventually turn on the human race.

Fighting through the derelict lower levels of the city, players control an international peacekeeping squad that soon starts to question their surroundings and the choices they make. Are the robots becoming more human, or are humans becoming more like machines?

Add into this “The Consequence System”, a unique feature to help create varying in-game experiences based on your actions and choices, and you have something truly interesting – though how much choice you have in-game has still not been revealed.
