The Humble Indie Bundle 4 Raises $1 Million In 24 Hours (Nearly)

The Humble Indie Bundle 4 has raised $1 million for charity in 24 hours! And we still have THIRTEEN DAYS left to go! The mind wobbles.

Okay, okay, so it ALMOST raised $1 million in a single day, but hell, we’re not going to split hairs here, that is a MIGHTY IMPRESSIVE accomplishment!

As of this writing, the Humble Indie Bundle 4 has raised $970,000 dollars (ALMOST TO $1 MILLION!) and over 180,000 bundles have been sold! The average purchase price paid? Five dollars and thirty three cents. The top price paid? $4,250.00!

Here is a trailer for The Humble Indie Bundle 4!

The Humble Indie Bundle is an annual charity that gives gamers a set of fantastic Indie Games to purchase, at any price they want! This money is then donated to charity (currently, The Red Cross or Child’s Play). In addition to being able to choose how much a gamer wants to pay for the set of games, you can even set how much money you want to go to charity, how much you want to go to the developers, and how much you want to go towards maintaining the Humble Indie Bundle website (a site that has done many of these fantastic charity drives, giving huge exposure to the game’s themselves for a very good cause).

The Humble Indie Bundle 4 is arguably the BEST YET. So much so that you’d have to be crazy not to donate, as each of the following games is worth paying full price on their own! And heck, many people have paid full price for them! Regardless, paying $6 bucks (you must pay over $5.33 to be eligible to earn two additional great titles) for these games is a STEAL. The fact that it is going towards charity and that almost $1 million has been raised so far is icing on an incredible cake.

The Humble Indie Bundle 4 Includes
Shank
– Bit.Trip.Runner
Super Meat Boy
Cave Story Plus (Must pay $5.33 to be eligable)
– NightSky HD and SD
– Jamestown
– Gratuitous Space Battles (Must pay $5.33 to be eligable)
and…
The Jamestown Soundtrack!

Once you purchase the games, you are given a code that gives you access to the Download Page. From there, you can Download the game files (which are DRM-free!) for either PC, Mac or Linux, or you can choose to download each game via Steam! You can also gift the bundle. I gifted one to my brother (who was incredibly grateful), and another friend of mine gifted the bundle to her brother. So you should definitely consider gifting.

Support a great cause and lets try to push the amount of money raised to astronomical proportions! GAME ON!
