“Nerdy News” is a mini-news show geared towards gamers, technosexuals, and all other geeky peeps.

In this forty-third episode of Nerdy News, I’ll be reporting on:

  • The Red Cross is showing interest in war-based video games.
  • Google+ is beating out Facebook for one MMO game.
  • Onlive video game streaming is coming to tablets and smartphones!
  • Modern Warfare 3 has helped bump up industry sales last month.

Here’s the new episode of Nerdy News!

What do you think?

Do you think war-based video game makers would be well served to hear the opinions of humanitarian groups like The Red Cross? Does this kind of attention this confirm the impact of video games on modern society? When OnLive adds it’s new mobile service, will they become a real threat to the current console dominators? Is cloud gaming the future or is there room for everyone?

If you have any advice or tips on how I can improve these videos let me know in the comments! Thanks for all of your opinions! ^_^

Seriously considering Onlive for iPad with that new App! Amazing tech!

This is fantastic news! I’m glad to see OnLive expanding, and I think having this technology available is a huge win for the industry and the company. Having more options for playing games, OnLive on mobile (iPad, etc.) is fantastic. I too am very curious about OnLive. I think for some people it’s the perfect option, particularly if they don’t know friends who game and are new to the hobby.

Totally Josh! And I think it’s amazing that developers are actually adjusting their console/PC games to include touch controls for iOS ease-of-use!
