Once on the ship, go left to head inside. Head downstairs and go through the door at the end of the right hallway. Cross the sand on the right and head down the stairs at the end of the hallway again. Run across the Arachas to get to another save statue. Fi will mention something about the door. Follow the hallway to the right and go through the door at the end. In this room, you have to blow the sand off the floor with the Gust Bellows to reveal clues on how to open the door. To open that door, hit the flower lock’s petals with your sword in this order: down, up, down, right. Open the treasure chest in the room behind the door to obtain a Small Key.
With the key in hands, head back all the way upstairs to the first floor where the first save statue is. Unlock the door to the right and head inside to face the mini-boss. Scervo is fought like the Stalfos, but you are now stuck to a narrow path. I actually tought it makes the fight easier because you only have to worry about attacking. As soon as the battle starts, run towards Scervo and attack him until you get him back to the edge of the plank. You’ll need to attack so he can’t block with his sword, so watch the position of his arm. Then you’ll need to repeat the process two more times to finally defeat him. Open the treasure chest afterwards to obtain the Bow.
The Dungeon Map
Now go back to the deck and fire an arrow at the eye atop the mast that you saw in the cutscene. A timeshift crystal will emerge from the top; shoot it with an arrow as well to reverse time on the entire ship. Bokoblins are now roaming the deck, so dispose of them. Then, climb up the long ladder on the mast in the middle. Defeat the Bokoblin archers atop the mast, then shoot an arrow at the eye atop the other mast to get a pulley down. Use it to get to the other mast, then shoot the next eye atop the other side of the previous mast to get another pulley down and use it to reach the very top of the mast. Get rid of the Bokoblins, then thrust your sword into the lock in the middle and turn it to unlock a gate.
Before getting back down, shoot the eye on the last mast at the back of the ship and use the pulley to cross. Drop down on the deck below, then use the Clawshots on the target on the pole at the very back of the ship. Drop down again and open the blue chest down there to get a Piece of Heart. Then use the Clawshots again to get back up to the deck and return to the save statue in the entrance room. Now that the ship has been reverted to its original form, things are a little different inside. Go back down to B1 and a room on the left which was previously inaccessible is now fully open. Head in and look at the ceiling, which has a grating from which you can peak outside. Take out the Bow and shoot an arrow at the timeshift crystal that can be seen through the bars. After the ship has shifted, go in the adjacent room and open the blue chest to get the Dungeon Map. Then pull down the lever on the wall so you can exit the room.
Squid Carving Key
Cross the sand pit on the right and go to the middle of the hallway where you can see a hole in the right wall. Take out the Bow and shoot an arrow at the eye in the room beyond that hole to unlock the nearby door. Go in and push the crate on the right side away from a hole in the other wall. Then go stand on the switch near the opposite wall and shoot an arrow through the hole from there to hit the eye in the room behind, thus opening the other door leading to that room. Don’t go in yet though. First, you’ll need to switch back the ship to its past form, so return to the grating from where you can shoot the timeshift stone and do so to change the ship. Then go in the room that you just opened and defeat the Technoblin. Thrust your sword into the generator after that and turn it to activate something in the basement. Now you’ll need to find and activate another generator.
Go back to the hallway and enter the last door on the left. Defeat the two Technoblins inside, then push the crate on the right on the switch to open some windows. Head back up to the deck and climb up the ladder on the left. Shoot the eye above the lifeboat with an arrow to drop it down. Then shoot the timeshift crystal to reverse time back to the present. Jump down inside the lifeboat and head through the window to be back inside the room from before. Go into the small room to the right where the generator is. However, you need to switch back the ship to the past to activate it. Look up through the grating in the ceiling and shoot an arrow at the timeshift crystal on the mast to switch it back. Then activate the generator and pull down the lever on the wall to open the door.
Head back to the hallway and re-enter the same room but from the other door (since the way is blocked by lasers between the two rooms). Step through the left window and climb down the ladder to find the entrance to the engine room. Head forward and avoid being crushed by the pressure pads. Then use the Whip on the beam above, but instead of crossing, turn to the right wall and give yourself a push to reach the opening in the wall. Climb up the ladder here to find five treasure chests with several treasures and two Silver Rupees! Then go back down and jump to the right. Run under the pressure pads as they lift, then use the Whip on the next beam and jump on top of the pressure pad. Wait for it to raise, then jump down on the next pressure pad. Pull the lever on the wall to the right, then crawl into the small passageway.
At the end of the tunnel, climb up the ladder and pull down the lever on the wall to open the room where the ship’s crew was locked. One of the crew members will give you a Small Key. Now go back through the engine room all the way back into the ship and to the deck. Unlock the door to the right of the lifeboat you lowered and head inside. Go down and look through the electrified door to spot a Beamos in the corner of the room. Shoot its eye with an arrow to destroy it. You can do the same thing with the Beamos in the left room by shooting it through the bars. Then go back to the deck and shoot the timeshift stone to reverse time. Head back inside again and now the right room is open, so go in.
Defeat the Arachas, then stand on the switch on the right to open a panel in the wall. Shoot the eye on the wall in the other room through the hole to open the door. Head inside the adjacent room and shoot the timeshift crystal through the grating in the ceiling to time shift again. Destroy the remaining Beamos to unlock the gate and open the treasure chest to obtain the Squid Carving. Now return to B2 where the boss door is and unlock it with the carving. This is one of the hardest carvings to put in. Move it around on all sides until you can insert it. Then get ready for the boss battle!
Tentalus Boss Fight
This is a pretty cool boss battle. At first, you will need to escape the ship as Tentalus tries to hinder your path with ites tentacles. To get the tentacles out of your way, you’ll need to charge up your sword like you would do for a goddess cube, then cut them. Then climb up the hallway while avoiding the barrels. Then destroy more tentacles and you’ll finally reach the deck where Tentalus is waiting. Now the real fight can begin. Tentalus will start by hiding in the water and try to crush you with its tentacles. Charge up your sword always and cut down the tentacles one by one until you have cut enough so Tentalus gets out of the water. Quickly get your Bow ready and shoot an arrow at its only eye as soon as he opens it. He will fall on deck so you can step forward and attack the eye with your sword several times. Then he will repeat the process with the tentacles, so do the same thing again and shoot it two more times to change things a little. Tentalus will crush the deck and a crate will fall at the back. Use it to climb to the front of the ship. Tentalus will appear again; shoot its eye and attack it, then he will start attacking you with the tentacles on its head. Use spin attacks to destroy the tentacles and gain some more hearts and arrows. After you have destroyed several tentacles, you will get another opportunity to shoot Tentalus’ eye. Shoot it again and hit it with the sword until you defeat him for good.
Pick up your well-earned Heart Container, then charge your sword and hit the emblem. Your sword will be upgraded again with more dowsing abilities. That’s it for this area, so you may leave. Remember now that you have the Clawshots, you can get several things if you explore past areas. But the next destination for your quest should be Eldin Volcano.
On the Sandship, climb to the very top of the middle mast and shoot the eye on the mast at the back of the ship, then use the pulley to cross. Drop down on the deck below, then use the Clawshots on the target on the pole at the very back of the ship. Drop down again and open the blue chest down there to get a Piece of Heart.
