Assassin’s Creed 3 Release Date In 2012

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot announced that a new Assassin’s Creed title is coming in 2012, expected to be Assassin’s Creed 3. Normally the main games are always released in the same month, mid-November, but this time the Assassin’s Creed 3 release date was confirmed at an investors call as October 31st, 2012. It will be released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It’s also in development for the Nintendo Wii U.

Guillemot says the game will be a “major” installment in the series, and “the biggest launch in Ubisoft history”, but remains tight-lipped about any further details beyond the release date.

“There will be another great, full-fledged Assassin’s Creed title next year,” he told investors. “It will be another major release and we will be communicating more about it in the coming months.” He would later go on to confirm Assassin’s Creed III has been in development for three years.

This confirms comments made by Assassin’s Creed Revelations Creative Lead Alexandre Amacio last month, who revealed that the next installment would be the last chapter in Desmond’s story. “In Assassin’s Creed we set up a timeline with this whole end of the world plot of December 2012. That’s fast approaching, and the story we have to tell, we obviously need to do it before we arrive at that point,” Amacio said at the time. “Assassin’s Creed is all about cycles – we have the Ezio cycle and the Altair cycle, and both of those are set to conclude in Revelations and we have the Desmond cycle, which is set to end on December 2012.”

Guillemot also said that pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed: Revelations were “significantly higher” than figures for Brotherhood, yet the firm is still expecting a “double digit decline” in sales for Revelations compared to the other title.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations will hit the shelves on November 15, 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. For Microsoft Windows PC, the game is delayed until November 29, 2011.

You have some great ideas there @70e9447a1de6bad33803a44ddc3099b8:disqus ! I hope they get implemented in future Assassin’s Creed games. Loving the pet eagle idea especially! I don’t know if you’ve played the Zelda: Twilight Princess game on Wii/GameCube, but that allows you to control a pet owl at command and it’s great fun.

As for your question about the guilds moving to America, the Assassin’s are actually already all over the world, as are the Templars. Good VS. Evil as it were, so it makes sense they’ve set up shop in newly discovered lands right away along with other settlers. I’m sure both sides are trying to seize the high ground in America to win the battle for power over the other.

No, it will only conclude DESMOND’S CYCLE not the assassin’s creed series. There will be others, especially for the PS4 coming next year or year after. That’s probably their plan. Desmonds cycle for the ps3 and then a whole new character’s cycle for the PS4. lol

Just imagine the asian chick from embers taking out asian templars with a guanlet with sharp talons(4 since that’s how many an eagle’s feet has) on her left hand and a gladius on right hand with the hidden blade underneath it for stealth(maybe on both hands like ezio). Also imagine the combinations of moves in combat! That would be BEASTTTT!!!

At the start of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, the people talking outside of the Animus (next to Desmond who’s in a coma and overhears them inside the Animus). Well, they talk about how nice Lucy’s burial ground is. So sadly after Desmond was forced by the Apple of Eden to stab Lucy with his hidden blade, she probably bled out and died on the spot. Desmond was so emotionally distraught by being forced to stab her that he went into a coma.
