Street Fighter X Tekken‘s release date is set for March 6, 2012 in America and March 9, 2012 in Europe on Xbox 360 and PS3. A PC version has been officially announced and is coming on May 11, 2012 in America and May 14, 2012 in Europe! It’s even coming to PS Vita.
Street Fighter X Tekken is the highly anticipated fighter that mashes together two of the largest juggernauts of the fighting game universe, Namco’s long-running polygonal 3D fighter Tekken (first released in 1994 for arcades and on the PSOne) and the game that started the fighting game genre in the first place, Capcom’s Street Fighter series (which made it’s biggest splash with Street Fighter II: The World Warrior for arcades in 1991).
This is the first time the Tekken series has been mixed with the Street Fighter series for a truly epic showdown that is sure to be one of the most highly anticipated fighting games of 2012. This particular version is being developed by Capcom. Namco will also be releasing a version developed by them at a later date, which will go by the title “Tekken X Street Fighter”.
Here is a video showing off the new “Gem” system that the game uses, which allows you to customize your fighter with a plethora of various stat changes and other enhancements that truly allow you to customize your fighting style!

In other Capcom news, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Version 2012 patch will be a free patch release coming out on December 13th, 2011, which will completely rebalance the game!
