Jade Empire 2? BioWare Would Love To Announce It

BioWare would love to release Jade Empire 2, the only question is…. How?

Jade Empire was an epic RPG for original Xbox with stunning graphics and an interesting, martial-arts infused, asian setting that was very unique at the time. The game also took the choice and consequence and conversation systems introduced in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and built upon it.

However the game was released before BioWare blew up the world with the near-household-names of the current generation, the Mass Effect and Dragon Age titles.

Now that work on Star Wars: The Old Republic is almost finished though (it releases this December), BioWare may actually find time to focus on reviving one of their most requested properties for the current (or next) generation: Jade Empire.

Speaking at the Eurogamer Expo 2011 in London, Muzyka was quoted as saying to the audience: Jade Empire is a setting that we were really passionate about, and we still are. Both Greg and I were big believers in the IP… We don’t have anything to announce on it right now, but it is a franchise that’s near and dear to us. We’re just looking for the right way to deploy it.”.

Here is a video of Jade Empire for Xbox1 in action.

Jade Empire was later released on PC and Mac. Did you ever get the chance to play Jade Empire?
