Monster Hunter 4 Announced for 3DS Exclusively (Megaton)

Monster Hunter 4 exclusively for 3DS was the megaton announcement that Nintendo made at their pre-TGS 2011 Press Conference focusing on boosting their glasses-free stereoscopic 3D handheld with some solid upcoming games.

And perhaps no title could do that more than Monster Hunter, which is a bonafide phenomenon in Japan and a huge hit around the world. And now Nintendo has announced that the next major core installment in the franchise is EXCLUSIVE to the Nintendo 3DS.

This is in ADDITION to Monster Hunter Tri 3G, which is coming out for the system this year. Both games will support the new Circle Pad Accessory that adds a second analog stick to the Nintendo 3DS, and ships bundled with Monster Hunter 3G Tri.

New details on Monster Hunter Tri 3G include the fact that it will feature Joint Quests for players to tackle.

Monster Hunter Tri 3G will be released in Japan on December 10th, 2011 exclusively for 3DS. Meanwhile Monster Hunter 4 will be released in 2012.
