Fire Emblem 3DS has been announced exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS at Nintendo’s Pre-TGS Press Conference.
This title marks the thirteenth core entry in the long-running and beloved Strategy RPG series that began its life way back on the original NES. So far this game does not have an official title, just the working title of “Fire Emblem 2012”.
Details on the game are few and far between, but it will feature the ability to have two neighboring units attack another unit simultaneously, as you can see in the video below. This was confused by the press who mistook the detail to mean “cooperative play”, which was a mistatement. However hopefully Nintendo will take that mistake and make it a reality, and add online co-op or multiplayer to the title. The game is set for release sometime in Spring of 2012.
