FIFA Street 2012 Announced for Next-Gen Consoles
FIFA Street 2012 was announced at Gamescom 2011 as an all-new entry in the extreme sports FIFA Street series, whose last installment was FIFA Street 3 released for Xbox 360, PS3 and DS in 2008.
FIFA Street 2012 is in development for “next-gen consoles” (Meaning Xbox 360, PS3, 3DS and possibly Wii U, PS Vita and the future PlayStation and Xbox systems) by EA Canada in Vancouver. That means that this time the main developers behind FIFA proper will be developing FIFA Street 2012!
FIFA Street 2012 promises to bring all-new elements to the extreme sports soccer/futbol gameplay, while offering more “free-flowing” gameplay than before and an authentic approach to the “back-alleys” of the sport.
The developers went as far as to send the development team and researchers to countries all over the world in order to learn how different regions play soccer. That means that futbol in the UK is more phsyical, whereas Rio plays footy with more flair. This will make the game feel much more accurate and authentic when playing with certain teams in certain countries as opposed to others.

35 locations for FIFA Street 2012 will be covered in all, including: Rio, Marseille, Shanghai, Buenos Aires, Barcellona, Dubai, Venice, London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, St. Petersberg, Tokyo, Dubrovnik, Munich, New York and more. The game will also include in-depth social modes and will connect to EA Sports Football/Soccer Club for additional stat-and-social features. One-on-One Battle Modes in parking lots, 5v5 tournaments in the streets, and more will be offered in the final game.
FIFA Street 2012 will also layer a new “street ball control system” over FIFA 12′s imported new “Player Impact” and “Precision Dribbling” Mechanics; this will offer quicker touches and twice as many skill moves as what you’d have in the normal FIFA 12.
