Assassin's Creed PlayStation Vita Announced at Gamescom 2011

Assassin’s Creed PlayStation Vita was announced and confirmed at Sony’s Gamescom 2011 Press Conference.

Although it was thought that an Assassin’s Creed game would hit the system, none had been announced until now. This is great for fans of Ubisoft’s best-selling sci-fi franchise.

The new game was not titled and still goes by “Assassin’s Creed Vita” but Sony did drop some details on the upcoming game!

Assassin’s Creed PS Vita will is based on an all-new storyline and characters(!) and will make heavy use of the unique PlayStation Vita features. That means you can expect to use Motion Controls, Touchscreen and the back TouchPad for controlling this all-new Assassin’s Creed character!

This is significant, as this is the first Assassin’s Creed game that will apparently star an all-new character who is not Ezio or Altair, since this game will be released post-Assassin’s Creed: Revelations!

Are you excited?!

Let’s hope it happens in the next game after AC3! I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’ll happen in the PS Vita game since they say it’s not a port.

This is likely to be AC3, since the vita can support PS3 graphics. It could just be a port. But who knows? AC3 has only been announced for XBox 360, PC, PS3, and Wii U so far…
