Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi Characters List

Many characters will appear in Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi from Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Z, including both animated GT series and movie characters. It’ll be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 25th, 2011 in America and Europe on October 28th.

Formerly this game was called Dragon Ball Project Age 2011, receiving its final title as voted on by fans. Names that weren’t picked include: Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Z, Dragon Ball Z: Saiyan Rising, Dragon Ball Z: Awakening Saiyans, and Dragon Ball Z: Saiyan Warriors.

Ultimate Tenkaich is a fighting game and will include a large character lineup, manga-style graphics that are more faithful to the source material [anime, manga] than ever before (and in high-definition, of course), fully destructable environments, and refined controls. The control scheme is said to be closer to that of the Budokai Tenkach series, and thus will be more accessible but retain tactical depth, while also including Quick Time Events during combos (having to press certain buttons to succeed). Realistic craters in the environments will be created when a characters gets thrown to the ground via the “Impact Break” system and Kamehameha tracers realistically cut across the sky, making the gameplay ever more dynamic. The game also includes a high number of cinematic camera angles. Bonus levels from all of the DBZ and DBGT movies will be included and at least 15 animated scenes with bosses 15 times the size of the playable characters will appear throughout the story mode. Other new additions include a health recovery system and improved flight mechanics.

A Character Creation Mode will allow you to create your own character, selecting from various hair, body types, face types, attires, moves, transformations, etc.

Here is a trailer for Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi showing many of the characters.
