Mortal Kombat 2011 Season Pass has been announced as a special deal for Xbox 360 gamers using Xbox Live.
Season Pass allows you to purchase all of the upcoming four DLC characters for the one-time price of 1200 Microsoft Points, at which point you will then receive the new characters as a download automatically upon their release.
The upcoming downloadable content characters that are part of this deal include Skarlet (release date: June 21st), Kenshi, Rain and an as-of-yet-unannounced all-new character! Each character will include a full move set, a ladder arcade story ending and two fatalities!
If you don’t go for the season pass, then each individual DLC warrior will cost 400 Microsoft Points to buy.
Additionally, “Compatibility Packs” will need to be downloaded alongside each new DLC warrior in order to allow for “seamless online play” and integration. As an added incentive, each compatibility pack will include two free “Klassic Skins”. The Skarlet Compatibility Pack will include Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 skins for Cyrax and Sektor! The extra costumes will be added automatically for season pass owners or if you purchase the DLC character individually. Those who do not purchase the Mortal Kombat Season Pass or the Add-ons, will be able to download the compatibility packs for free and have access to the klassic skins as well.
