How to Unlock Shiden
Shiden from Dead or Alive Ultimate (the Xbox1 collection of Dead or Alive 1 and Dead or Alive 2) is a playable character once you have first unlocked all 25 regular characters. You can then unlock Shiden, the 26th fighter by holding the L and X buttons while putting the cursor on Random on the Character Select screen. While holding down X and L, press the A Button. If done correctly, you’ll hear a different sound while selecting characters.
In addition to letting you play as Shiden, this also gives Kasumi, Kasumi Alpha, La Mariposa and Leifang different outfits if you do the code while selecting a costume with those characters. You can also hold R and X or L+R+X at the same time for different outfits for Shiden.
Shiden is the father and teacher of Kasumi and Hayate. Now the power of this legendary ninja is in your own hands!
How to Call Samus to “Assist” You
When playing on the Metroid stage, you can call Samus to … do a show, by speaking or blowing into the microphone on the Nintendo 3DS system. Doing so will cause Samus to roll onto the scene in Morph Ball form and drop a Power Bomb. However this is just for show, and Samus doesn’t appear to effect the fight at all. To quote Team Ninja’s Yosuke Hayashi, “This time she’s not playable, but Samus Aran will be shown in the game. She comes to help the player.” Help by “cheering” on apparently!
How to Unlock A Majority of Characters
You can unlock a ton of characters by simply playing through Course 6 in Arcade Mode. There are multiple ways to unlock some characters.
