Who wins in the Call of Duty vs Battlefield 3 fight?
According to EA, it’s Battlefield 3 all the way baby! That Call of Duty stuff is old hat!
Here is what EA Games President Frank Gibeau had to say about that OTHER SHOOTER FRANCHISE in a quote from an EA earnings call.
“We have the superior game engine, superior development studio and a flat out superior game.” He also said the expected, we’ll see much more of Battlefield 3 at E3 2011 on June 7-9th.
As you may have heard already, Electronic Arts is banking on Battlefield 3 to challenge the Call of Duty: Black Ops/Call of Duty 4/Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 throne in terms of both dollars made and acclaim critically gathered (er, critical acclaim showered upon!).
To that end, EA plans to spend OVER $100 million US Dollars on strickly marketing for the third Battlefield! It will be released this holiday (or Q4) on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC/Mac.
