No More Heroes: Red Zone first gameplay trailer (PS3)

The first gameplay trailer for No More Heroes: Red Zone has been released.

This game is essentially a retooled and updated version of No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise, which itself was a PS3 and Xbox 360 update to the original Wii game, No More Heroes, but with enhanced HD graphics, English and Japanese voice overs, “Very Sweet” mode (puts all the characters in revealing outfits), the ability to watch all of the game’s cinematics and more. With one of the biggest editions being PlayStation Move support. The game was also released in the West for Xbox 360, whereas in Japan No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise was a PS3-exclusive.

And now No More Heroes: Red Zone is an ADDITIONAL PS3 version of the title. This version will contain all of the above atop of other additions, such as five bosses taken from No More Heroes 2, a Boss Battle and Online Ranking Mode, Ten addition missions that were cut-out of the original Wii version, and a “Forbidden View” mode as well as other bonuses.

Looks like Grasshopper is pulling a Team Ninja on us with all of these versions of the game, eh. Just like Team Ninja did with the Ninja Gaiden games.

No word yet on whether this version of the game will be released outside of Japan, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Hopefully it will though.

Here is the debut trailer showing off gameplay footage. It’s also cool that all the voice acting is in English with Japanese subtitles.

Watch at your own discretion, as the trailer includes copious amounts of violence, cursing and scantily dressed ladies. Still no word on when we’ll get No More Heroes 3
