Do you have a favorite Resident Evil game?

What about a game in the series that you think is absolutely, hands-down, the best in the long-running franchise?

The interesting thing about opinions is that everyone has a different viewpoint and no two people will ever fully agree about all aspects of a title. So it will be interesting to know what game our readers consider to be their favorite.

And there are a lot of games to choose from, as the Resident Evil series is one of the longest running at Capcom; There are many side-games in the franchise outside of the main, core series as well. With the total being around 16 and soon to balloon even higher!

Side games include: Resident Evil: Survivor, Resident Evil: Survivor 2 Code Veronica, Resident Evil: Dead Aim (PS2), Resident Evil Outbreak (PS2), Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 (PS2), Resident Evil Gaiden (Game Boy Color), Resident Evil: Deadly Silence (DS), Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles (Wii) and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. PHEW!

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of Resident Evil (Which is this year) Capcom released this video, which also shows off the many upcoming Resident Evil games including: Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D and Resident Evil Revelations for 3DS, as well as Resident Evil 4 HD, Resident Evil: Code Veronica HD and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City for Xbox 360 and PS3 (the former two are coming soon to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network).

So what is the best Resident Evil game? My choice is Resident Evil Remake. What’s yours?
