The upcoming Resistance 3 for PlayStation 3 just got some extra oomph added to the proceedings.

Developer Insomniac has announced that they have added both stereoscopic 3D support to the upcoming first-person shooter as well as PlayStation Move support so that you can play the game with the Motion Controllers.

The idea to add Move support to the game came after the team was inspired by what Guerrilla Games did with Move support in Killzone 3, and plans to implement Move Support into Resistance 3 in a similar fashion to how it worked in Killzone.

The Resistance 3 release date is on September 6, 2011 exclusively for PS3.

Here is some gameplay footage of Resistance 3.
