Medal of Honor 2 has been officially confirmed, although not exactly officially announced, by developer Danger Close themselves.

Executive Producer Greg Goodrich wrote a blog post in which he spilled the beans that, yes, as rumored, his development house is creating the EA sequel to last year’s first-person shooter reboot.

To quote:

“In case you were wondering… Yes, Danger Close is currently working on the next Medal of Honor.”

This is not a surprise because, as he points out, Medal of Honor has sold over 5 million copies.

However it remains to be seen if DICE will develop the developer of the multiplayer portion of the game as they were the last time around.

Hey @facebook-612860492:disqus my guesstimate would be they will release a new Medal of Honor game every two years. So 2010 –> 2012. EA Have Battlefield 3 this year, so it makes sense they wouldn’t have to release a new FPS of the same series yearly. Late next year I’m sure MoH2 will be out.
