New Kirby 2011 game announced for Wii

An all-new Kirby game is coming to the Wii announced Nintendo. Yup, already!

The last Kirby game for the Wii was the critically acclaimed “Kirby’s Epic Yarn“, released on October 17th last year, but already Nintendo has the wheels rolling on another new Wii Kirby title. Hey, its not like anyone is complaining!

This Kirby game is looking to be much more standard than the extremely creative entry that was Kirby’s Epic Yarn, and the game actually has a real resemblence to older Kirby games like Kirby’s Adventure; complete with all the classic Kirby powers intact (inhaling enemies and stealing their powers, a mulitude of different powers being used, floating, spitting enemies back out, sucking enemies in, etc.).

Here is the all-new trailer for the game, which is still untitled.

Rumors are circulating that this may be the long-in-development but ultimately cancelled GameCube Kirby Adventure Wii project, which was seen at E3 2005 and ran on the Super Smash Bros. Brawl engine. That game never came to fruition, but this game may have come from that project. Although there is no word if the four-player co-op will be making it back in Kirby Wii 2011. The game was said to be coming to Wii in 2009, but we never heard from it again and it was assumed that it was turned into Kirby Epic Yarn.

Apparently not though. Here is that E3 2005 trailer for the un-released Kirby game; Compare it to the new Kirby 2011 trailer shown above.
