The Walking Dead videogame based on TV show coming?

Rumors are swirling that a game based on “The Walking Dead” TV show on AMC may be in development by Telltale Games (who have been one heck of a licensed-based run lately, from Back to the Future: The Game to the upcoming Jurassic Park 2011 game episodic series).

This info can be pieced together due to Telltale previously saying that they were working on five new videogames, one of which is “based on a just-launched property from the TV and comic book world whose popularity is changing life as some know it.”

And given that The Walking Dead won’t be returning until Halloween soon, now is as good a time as any to get the ball rolling on a videogame project based on the hit series.

We’ll learn the truth soon, as Telltale will be holding an event on February 17th.

The TV show is great. Looking forward to season two. July, is it? I’d buy the game if it’s good and plays like a Halo/Gears/COD shooter.

we need more game with zombies ! like dead space, resident evil 5, a new doom would be nice also. buy the way people, write capcom, where is the resident evil portable they said was coming for the psp ?

Wow, this game will be so fun! I really hope they make it! Please make it available for the Wii. I know, I know, but we like the Wii lol. We are all about zombie movies and video games in this house. Honestly the Walking Dead series is better than any zombie movie I’ve seen. Its much more real! I like how in zombie movies all the girls have pristine makeup and clean clothes. I mean, realllly. I’m sure I’m going to be worrying about makeup when zombies are chasing me and I’m always on the run. So I like how the series stays close to how it would “be” Cant wait for the game and series 2 to start up again!

@Mellisa I got to agree i’m a huge fan of the series with all the graphic novels I just hope they dont get some cheap developer that destroys what could be the best zombie game idea in years.
