The L.A. Noire release date has been announced as May 17, 2011 for Xbox 360 and PS3 by developer Team Bondi and publisher Rockstar Games. It will hit Europe on May 20th.
LA Noire is Rockstar’s ambitious new noire-crime-investigation thriller, a unique action adventure game with some of the most realistic facial features ever seen. As well as a dynamic, highly detailed and fully voiced 300-page crime-drama script.
The game uses a new facial motion capture system (MotionScan) and “Lightsprint’s real-time global illumination technology” to create believable characters that eerily move, talk and act like those of the actor they are based on (who provides both voice and motion capture).
L.A. Noire takes it one-step further by tying this unique feature into the gameplay itself, where you must interrogate criminals and tell whether they are lying or telling the truth by how they react and the motions of their face.
