Here are all of the Log Locations for Dead Space 2 in the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC survival-horror game.
There are 3 types of logs you will come across, audio clips, text messages and video messages. You can collect these on any difficulty, you may want to collect these on a Casual Difficulty playthrough but it is totally up to you. A lot of these logs you will find just by following the main path throughout the game, others though will require you to go slightly off the path for a moment.
You can find out how many logs you have collected by pressing the back (inventory) button and going to the database.
If you happen to die while collecting these Logs, you will need to collect the ones you found since your last game save.
Why does this Log Guide below not show more than 100 Log Locations?
You will automatically collect story logs which are the same as what you will be collecting, audio and video messages, as you playthrough the game. These will automatically be added to your count towards 100 Logs as you progress through the game. The rest however will need to be obtain and that is what this guide is for–those you do not automatically obtain by simply playing.
If you follow this guide from the beginning, you will unlock this achievement or trophy in Chapter 10 after fixing the Centrifuge. If you missed a few, you there are still more to be found in the upcoming chapters as well as automatically collected from the storyline.
How do I access Conduit Rooms?
In order to gain access to Conduit Rooms you must have played the Dead Space Ignition Game which you can find for purchase in either Xbox Live Arcade or the PlayStation Network. You do not have to beat the easy and short arcade game however you must at least have a game save. Once you have a game save, Conduit Rooms will automatically be unlocked, even if you have already started to progress through the game. In otherwords, you do not need to start a new game in order to gain access to them.
What achievements or trophies will I be awarded?
If you are playing the Xbox 360 version, there is only 1 achievement for collecting 100 logs. This achievement is called The Librarian and is worth a total of 10 Gamerscore.
If you are playing on the PlayStation 3 version, there is only a Bronze Trophy to be awarded to you by collecting 100 Logs.

Chapter 1 Logs Locations 1-6
Video Guide for Chapter 1:
Log Location #1: Popsicle Sticks
You will find this Audio Log to the right on the ground just outside of the Rec Room. The Rec Room will be just after taking the elevator when you get the flashlight and just before the Operating Room and a save station.
Log Location #2: Orderly TPS Report: 1411
You will find this Text Log inside one of the waiting rooms in the Waiting Area. It will be on top one of the tables on the left side of the room next to a dead body on the hospital bed. You will also want to grab this before heading down the stairs to the lower lobby.
Log Location #3: Anxiety Spike
You will find this Text Log in the Lower Lobby of the Waiting Area. It will be on top of the reception counter along with ammo and a power node. This will also be just before a save station in the next room and before Audio Log #4 coming up.
Log Location #4: Heisenberg
You will find this Text Log inside of the Triage Room on the ground to the right as you turn the corner. The Triage Room is also the first room you enter after a save station.
Log Location #5: Secrecy
You will find this Text Log inside of the Patient Care area right behind the counter on the ground. There will also be a power node and ammo here. You will enter the Patient Care area just after taking an elevator shortly after continuing on from the Triage Room.
Log Location #6: Final Report
You will find this Audio Log inside of the Conduit Room to the left of the Patient Care area as soon as you exit the elevator. You will have just found Log #5 nearby.
Chapter 2 Logs Locations 7-10

Log Location #7: Cut off Their Limbs
You will find this Audio Log on the ground in front of you as soon as you start Chapter 2 after climbing out of the air ducts. It will also be right in front of the Store.
Log Location #8: Quarterly Report
You will find this Text Log inside of the locked storage room at the end of the shopping area that requires a power node to open the door. You will have 4 power nodes if you have not used them already at the workbench. If you need a power node, you can find one inside of the next room after the shopping area and before you head down the elevator.
Log Location #9: Titan Part 1
You will find this Text Log at the end of the apartment level right near the elevator. This Text Log will be coming up just after you have found the laundry room and after fighting six Necromorphs.
Log Location #10: Hampered
You will find this Audio Log inside of the Conduit Room near the end of the concourse after the moving walkway and before the entrance to the Transit Station. It will be on the lying on the ground inside here on the right.

Log Location #11: Titan Part 2
You will find this Text Log in front of a shop to the left as soon as you get off the elevator from the shopping area to the concourse mezzanine.
Log Location #12: Altman’s Footsteps
You will find this Text Log inside of the entrance to the Unitology to the right and across from the Unitology elevator is.
Log Location #13: Recruiting
You will find this Text Log on top of the counter as soon as you get out of the Unitology elevator to the Unitology Resource Center.
Log Location #14: Sally 3
You will find this Text Log inside of the first apartment room just across from the service elevator from which you took having come from the garbage chute area. It will be on top of the dresser to the left as you enter the room.
Chapter 4 Logs Locations 15-19

Log Location #15: Tour Staff
You will find this Text Log at the beginning of Chapter 4 inside of the reception room to the left. It will be lying on the ground between chairs.
Log Location #16: Two Tines
You will find this Text Log on the 2nd floor inside of the Reading Room. It will be lying on the ground underneath the desk as soon as you enter the room in the right corner. The Gift Shop is right before the Reading Room.
Log Location #17: Harsh Pressure
You will find this Audio Log at the beginning of Chapter 4 inside of the reception room to the right. It will be lying underneath the first chair to the right as you enter.
Log Location #18: Recruit Test Results
You will find this Text Log inside of the Indoctrination Room found at the Testing Center. It will be with the dead body at the last station in the room near the window.
Log Location #19: Suspicion
You will find this Audio Log inside of the Conduit Room in the hallway just after you go back up to the 2nd floor of the Basilica for a 2nd time. It will be right after you have encountered and defeated Stalkers for the first time.
