What do you think of the game? Let me know in the comments.

Released in 2006, Dead Rising 1 won praise across the globe for its mix of intense zombie action and dark humour. Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the infamous zombie invasion of Willamette. Unfortunately, the zombie virus was not contained at the conclusion of Dead Rising, spreading unchecked throughout the United States and Dead Rising 2 depicts a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike.

As a conclusion let’s see how much fun the game is on a scale from 1 to 10.

Graphics — 8

The graphics are fantastic, the amount of 7,000 zombies that can appear at any one given time on the screen is absolutely huge. 😀

Gameplay — 7

Single-player mode will take you about 8-9 hours to play through, guaranteed to be good fun, especially with the added multiplayer in the Fortune City Arena, and with the addition of online co-op Dead Rising 2 brings all the fun of the first and amplifies like a zombie busting electric guitar.

Audio — 7

With every moan and groan from your zombie enemies ringing through your speakers the mood is set, add to that the ambient noise of the deserted fortune city strip everything fits in place really well. The comical one liners coming from the survivors as they follow you around are almost unforgettable and definitely help things along although some of them can get a little repetitive.

Ingenuity — 7

As soon as Dead Rising 2 begins you could be forgiven for thinking it was a carbon copy of the first except with a nicer look and a ton of added dead heads. Later on in the game of course you start combining weapons. And the combo weapons make for combo points. Throw in arenas filled with zombies and it can get crazy.

But these are crazy weapon combinations that work. Put a battery on a wheelchair and you get an electric chair, run that around with zombies getting shocked everywhere and you can just about anything and think up some of the most AWESOME combinations!

OVERALL FUN-FACTOR — 8

Overall, the game holds up much better than the first one. A definite winner in my books.
