Real-life Pac-Man TV show announced
A Pac-Man reality TV show is coming to a small screen near you!

That’s right, Pac-Man is returning to the TV realm, but this time it is not an animated TV show starring the Pac family, but a show similar to that of ABC’s “Wipeout”.

This was announced by Merv Griffin Entertainment group who is collaborating with Pac-Man owner and publisher Namco Bandai, who, naturally, thinks this is an awesome idea. And I’m not quite sure I disagree…

The show will presumebly have people making their way through a giant Pac-Man maze. Whether they are the ghosts and another person is the Pac-Man ready to gobble them up, is unconfirmed as of now. As exact details are scarce, but the President of the TV devision at Merv, Roy Bank, had this to say.

To quote:

“[The show is envisioned as] a big, crazy Wipeout-type event with a lot of energy. The idea we have is to take what Pac-Man is and bring it to life, to bring what is essentially the world’s biggest game of tag to television.”

This is a great idea for a television show. As a huge fan of Pac Man it will definitely be something that I will watch. It will be interesting to see if they add in fruits for that Pac Man to get or even a Mrs.Pac Man.

@ Blair Stover: I agree Blair! While a Pac-Man live-action TV show sounds like an incredibly stupid idea, somehow I think it will actually work and be fun to watch. I’ll definitely be interested when they show the first footage of it.
