18 BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2 characters are featured in this 3DS and PSP handheld version of the Japanese arcade game that is an updated version of the original BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. It will be released in Japan on March 31, 2011.

The game includes rebalancing for all of the characters and the three downloadable content characters from the previous game (Makoto, Valkenhayn and Platinum), it will also feature stereoscopic, glasses-free 3D effects on the 3DS version (obviously). The new portable versions also include a new strategy-game-style mode called “Legion” (first seen in BlazBlue Portable) and a new Abyss Mode (which is possibly an RPG-style mode). There will be new story elements added as well.

@ Fahd: I believe that the developers simply want to be there during the opening months of the 3DS. It’s generally a lucrative time for game publishers because there isn’t a whole lot of games for consumers to choose from, so your game is more likely to be bought. But hey the more the merrier!

I actually don’t need Continuum Shift 2 cause I already updated the game and dlc 2 characters and the Trinity the platinum is coming dlc next month on PSN.
