Angry Birds: Knock On Wood, a new board game based on the hit downloadable bird-flinging title, has been announced from Mattel.

The game literally takes the concept from the videogame and applies it to the physical world!

The game supports up to four players and the game uses card-based strategy to build the Pigs structure, which then must be knocked down using a real slingshot that you use to fling the birds! Points are given based on how much of the opponents structure is knocked down.

The game includes three Angry Birds figurines, four Pigs, 14 Blocks, and 56 different “Mission Cards”, along with the slingshot to fling your attackers. Angry Birds: Knock On Wood has a May 2011 release date and will cost $15.
