Homefront is an upcoming first-person shooter by the people behind Frontlines: Fuel of War (developer Kaos Studios) where the United States gets invaded by North Korea in the near-future of 2027.

This offers the unique twist for what is otherwise your typical war game, where the front of the war is at the doorstep of Americans in their own backyard; a setting that is incredibly unique within videogames with a premise that is interesting if not entirely plausable in the real world.

In addition to the fully featured single-player mode, the game also contains an online multiplayer mode that is fully featured and has a unique economic system where you earn currency for your actions and kills during battle that you can spend immediatly while in battle.

Here is an in-depth preview of the upcoming Xbox 360, PS3, PC and OnLive game which releases in March 2011.
