LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game has been announced by Traveler Tales, Disney and LEGO Group.
This announcement came alongside announcement of the official LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean physical Lego sets which will launch in Spring of 2011 along with the videogame to tie in with the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” fourth film entry in the series.
The game will take players through the first three record-setting films in the hit series (The Curse of the Black Pearl, Dead Man’s Chest and At World’s End) as well as moments from the fourth upcoming film. Along with getting to control a Lego-ized Jack Sparrow, players will also get to control around 70 additional characters from the wide cast of the films.
The game is scheduled for release on all major game consoles, portable systems and PC.
Before this release Lego fans will be able to tide themselves over with the upcoming February 2011 release of Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars.
