Castlevania: Lords of Shadow sequel coming
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is already in development reports confirm.

Apparently the game is in the “advanced planning stages” and will once again be headed up by the developer of the first game, MercurySteam.

This follows hot on the heels of a Spanish musician who worked on the first Castlevania: Lords of Shadow spilling the beans that he was currently working on the game’s sequel.

Saying, quote: “If you liked the first game, hope that the second is even more spectacular.”

Konami hasn’t commented on the rumor, but reports have confirmed that the game is indeed in development.

Did you like Castlevania: Lords of Shadow? Are you interested in a sequel?

Here is the launch trailer for the original game.

I wouldn’t mind seeing more of the music that was from Symphony of The Night rather than the music that was in this last one. I understand where they were going with the music but most friends I’ve talked with that played LoS agreed the game was lacking in the music department it wasn’t the music we all remembered! In SotN they had by far the best of the music we all grew up with playing over the years and remembered from past Castlevania games.

I missed the leveling up of the character as well as the massive amount of weapons. Giving new abilities and strengths towards many attributes. While the light and dark abilities were nice and being able to upgrade many of the existing moves or new ones. I just really missed the arsenal of weapons that were available in SotN!

The game-play of this game wasn’t bad, at times I found myself getting lost and not really knowing where to go. I just wish the designers had a mini-map for the smaller areas that you actually were playing. I understand this is a new beginning to the franchise but the name of the game is CASTLEVANIA. Most of LoS found playing Gabriel outside in a forest or a small lost city which was nice but I really enjoyed the castle part of the game. This wasn’t found much in the game although throughout the entire game you were given glimpses of this vast humungous castle which only had you playing through if for a few levels. I just hope the next installment has a little more of a Castle feeling in the Castlevania name!

no no no victor they should not add a sword. They should bring back a REAL Belmont, maybe Simon’s son( Simon is the main character from Castlevania 2 on NES.) Oh and one more thing learn how to spell. I also hope they don’t bring back Gabriel as a vampire that would ruin the game completely, I never understood why they brought back Castlevania and didn’t even put an original Belmont for the main character! What is wrong with developers these days. I love the story and most every other aspect of the game but come on Konami; give Mercurysteam the Castlevania’s of old, make them play through them and then have them write the game.

Personaly I have been playing since the first Castlevania on nes and here are my thoughts. I think they should remake 1 due to how outdated it is and 2 they have a brandnew juicy story line behind the dracula and the belmonts, personaly I love the fact that they made a belmont dracula. I think Simon returning in a new console game is just the kind of nostalgia gamers are looking for as well as the games older music. Or maybe not even just one maybe they should remake 1,2, and 3 in a extrodinarily long 2-3 disc game, featuring Simon and Alucard as the main character I also think that since there was virtualy no story telling in 1,2, or 3 that it leaves them with a lot to work with. I also believe it should be co-op. honestly though if  they remade it as such I can Imagine starting with Alucard and Trevor in the 3 castlevania game for tutorial. Here player 2 would play with Trevor Belmont who should have the same moves as Simon to avoid confusion, at which point Simon is not even born. (since castlevania pulled a starwars and started going backwards) When Alucard went into his slumber after 3 I think he should then awake in Simons time period at which point Simon enters the main story, and the game truely begins as you exit tutorial. Of course I think Alucard and Simon should later find out that they share the same blood, as well as the same goal to kill his father and to kill his great great great great great grandfather.

Well considering which vampire Gabriel becomes, he is kind of central to every castlevania ever.

Dude first of all you’re rude.  Second is why remake Castlevania 1, they did it plenty of times and it gets boring.  For example Super Castlevania 4 is a remake of the first one.  I do agree that they should bring some old characters back but having these new characters in the first game sparked up the game abit more.  Also a Belmont as Dracual hmm.. that is quite interesting and creative.  Fighting the same Dracual over and over gets a tad boring.  I have Castlevania 1,2,3 and Super Castlevania 4so I know how it is.  They should also add some of the old Castlevania sound track, but that is only my opinion.  I know Konami won’t let us down and suprise us at the end.  Still can’t wait for this game to be released.  Castlevania fan since 1992

they already remade the first castlevania. its castlevania chronicles on ps1. i think on lords of shadow 2 should have trevor belmont or hector from curse of darkness, that and alucard, cameo of sypha and grant.
