New Fatal Frame and Rhythm Heaven Wii games have been announced by Nintendo.

The games were revealed during the N 2010 conference in Japan which was mostly filled with awesome 3DS release date and 3DS Game Boy Virtual Console news, and many missed these two great announcements.

Sadly though, Fatal Frame 4 was never released outside of Japan when Nintendo stopped Fatal Frame 4 from U.S. Wii release, said Tecmo; supposedly due to lower than expected review scores and gamer complaints about glitches and the like, but hopefully this newer Wii entry will fare better and hopefully make it out West.

Finally, Rhythm Heaven Wii marks the first time the popular DS title has moved to the console space so it’ll be interesting to see how the game fair’s and uses the Wii’s motion controls. Don’t forget to check out my Rhythm Heaven DS review for my thoughts on that game.

No other solid details were revealed for the games which were seen on Nintendo’s Japanese web-site, although the screenshots for Fatal Frame 5 do show two twins like in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. Or maybe this is a re-release of that game? I didn’t play it so I can’t tell either way, but I did write a great Fatal Frame 1 review for the first game on the original Xbox which was a fantastic game.

Here are some official screenshots from Fatal Frame 5 and Rhythm Heaven Wii.
