Muramasa: The Demon Blade and Odin Sphere collection or HD re-releases coming (XBLA, PSN?)

Rumors are circulating that Vanillaware’s cult-classics Odin Sphere and Muramasa: The Demon Blade are going to be re-released in HD! Most likely for PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.

Both games were highly praised critically and by those that played them, as graphically glorious hand-painted action adventure titles.

Muramasa was released for the Wii at this time last year, while Odin Sphere came out on the PS2 in 2007.

Hopefully the games won’t just be updated graphically and get Achievement/Trophy support, but will also have other additions. Either way, this is great news as a good deal of gamers missed out on the titles the first time around.

It’s looking like the games will most likely be downloadable. In my humble opinion they should release both separately as downloads, and then repackage both together, slap them on a disc and release them as a collection!

We should get confirmation soon, as of right now you can still categorize this under rumor. But multiple sources say the games are indeed being re-released.
