Codename: D has been announced exclusively for Xbox Live Arcade from Suda 51 and his development house Grasshopper Studios (Killer 7, No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2, the upcoming Shinji Mikami collab Shadows of the Damned).

The upcoming game is one of many upcoming Kinect-enabled Xbox Live Arcade games. Very little is known about the title outside of the fact that you are in a haunted carnival/amusement park overrun with creepy enemies and you must take them out using the motion-camera controls.

Here is what Suda 51 had to say about the project during it’s announcement at the Tokyo Game Show 2010 during Microsoft’s Press Conference: “Codename D will be Kinect-enabled, but won’t feature conventional weapons such as swords or guns.”

Microsoft issued this description: “You must fight for your life to survive an evil amusement park filled with twisted and eerie creatures. With ‘codename D’ for Kinect for Xbox 360, you are the controller as you unleash devastating effects to destroy enemies and objects.”

Here is the debut trailer.
