Red Faction: Armageddon has been delayed to May of 2011 according to a new THQ release calender that they revealed.
It also shows some launch window dates for a number of other heavy-hitters from the publisher.
MX vs. ATV Alive will be released during the Spring of next year, whereas Warhammer 40K: Space Marine will be launching in the summer of 2011.
These date changes are probably a good thing for Red Faction, which was originally scheduled to release in March 2011 where it would’ve competed against Dragon Age 2 and possibly the Nintendo 3DS.
The move will also help THQ, as it puts Red Faction: Armageddon out of the current fiscal year (that ends March 31, 2011) and into the next, thus lowering it’s revenue expectations from $845 million to between $800-825 million.
They will also be taking a loss this year. Their fiscal year will cap off now with Homefront, which hits in February of 2011.
