Madden NFL 11 has been updated for the Xbox 360 and PS3 with the new “Madden Moments” mode.
If you have the PS3 version, you’ll be automatically prompted to update your game, which will add the new mode and a few other updates. Whereas Xbox 360 owners will need to manually download Madden Moments Live from the Xbox Live Marketplace, while automatically getting the other updates to the game.
The Madden Moments Live Mode is where fans can play through specific moments from throughout the upcoming football season right after they happen! Those who played Madden NFL 10 got to play through the previous seasons finest moments, but this new mode one ups that in a huge way since it will add new moments from the CURRENT season in a timely fashion through the magic of online!
Since the 91st NFL Season Kickoff with the New Orleans Saints vs the Minnesota Vikings doesn’t happen until tomorrow at 7:30pm Eastern Standard Time (Taylor Swift and Dave Matthews Band will be performing live, and the Kickoff is sponsored by EA Sports), those who check out the Madden Moments right now will find Madden Moments taken from last year’s National Football League season.
This is a really cool mode and EA promises to add between two to four new Madden Moments every week! Very cool stuff for football fans.
Future Madden Moments can be purchased with Madden Coins. You can either purchase individual moments, moments for an upcoming week, or the entire seasons worth. If you do so, then the Madden Moments will be available for you as soon as they are put online!
In addition to the Madden Moments, other updates have also been given with this latest title update. They include: The ability to alter pre-play line shifts, hot routes, etc. using the same buttons as Madden NFL 10, Breast Cancer Awareness will be supported by selecting the new theme from Play Now or during the month of October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), this will help support the cause and alter the game’s look, and you can now scout opponents in Online Franchise Mode, you can see their lineup in Ultimate Team mode, and various balancing issues have been corrected.
EA Sports says that the changes were actually fixed during the launch of the demo of the game, but only now passed third-party approval. Thus, another patch is coming soon that will fix many other issues including the QB spy glitch.

• You asked for it, you got it! Pre-play functionality makes its return to Madden. A new menu option called, “Strategy Pad Shortcuts” is available. When turned on, you will see the hot routes, coverage audible, and shifts menus using the same buttons as Madden NFL 10.

• You can now view your opponent’s lineup in Ultimate Team
• New iem tiers added
Breast Cancer Awareness Month
• Breast cancer awareness mode is now available for play. You can access it by scrolling right from “Play Now”. In addition, franchise games that take place in October (in Franchise mode, not next month) will be given this theme. The Madden team is proud to support the NFL in the fight against breast cancer.

• Scouting has been added to Online Franchise games
• Fixed overtime rules for preseason and regular season in Franchise mode
• Online Franchise: Fixed a feedback issue when commissioners attempted to add friends via Online ID
