In this Dead Rising 2: Case Zero walkthrough, you’ll see the beginning to ending moments of cutscenes and gameplay for this highly anticipated downloadable prequel to the main course.

Dead Rising: Case Zero is a downloadable chapter of the Dead Rising saga designed as a playable prologue for Dead Rising 2 that bridges the story between the first and second games. Any PP, clothing, and Combo Cards gained in Case Zerowill carry over into your Dead Rising 2 game!

Chuck Greene and his daughter Katey have barely escaped the Las Vegas zombie outbreak with their lives. They arrive in the lonely desert town of Still Creek looking for some rest, but unfortunately there is no rest to be had as this sleepy town has become overrun with zombies. Chuck must kill zombies, rescue survivors and escape from the zombie nightmare that is Still Creek before time runs out.

    Dead Rising: Case Zero walkthrough Part 1: Case 0-1

    This first case is mainly all a cutscene. After the second cutscene ends, grab the box of nails from off the ground as well as the baseball bat. Place both these items on the table in front of you to combine them together as a weapon.

    This will also earn you “A Taste of Things to Come”. Head outside and through the junk yard through and in and out through the next building.

    Your objective here is to find Katey Zombrex. Collect as much money as possible throughout the game to earn you an achievement for spending $100,000. If you are not going for it or already have it, you will need at least $30,000 to get an additional Zombrex and Wheel Part for a Class A Ending. This is shown throughout this walkthrough.

    Dead Rising: Case Zero walkthrough Part 2: Case 0-2

    This second case is mainly all cutscenes as well, with only a little bit of walking/running.

    You will find the Zombrex from the ambulance. A cutscene will take over when you open it. During the ending of the final cutscene here, you find the main body for a motorcycle. You will be collecting all of the parts for this bike throughout Case 0-4. Case 0-3 will start in the next video where you need to bring it back to the gas station to start repair it.

    Continue to collect as much money as possible throughout the game to by spending $100,000, you will need at least $30,000 to get an additional Zombrex and Wheel Part for a Class A Ending. This is shown throughout this walkthrough.

    Dead Rising: Case Zero walkthrough Part 3: Case 0-3

    This third case you are just bringing the body part of the motorcycle you found to the gas station to repair on throughout the rest of the game. This is a very short case to finish as well. Just avoid the zombies while you carry it back.

    You will be repairing the bike and finding all of the parts for it throughout Case 0-4 as well as saving 9 civilians throughout this entire process to get the Class A Ending.

    Dead Rising: Case Zero walkthrough Part 4: Case 0-4

    At the beginning of this part of the walkthrough I unlock “A Bigger Taste” for building the last combo weapon available, which for me it was the Boomstick.

    I then continue to revisit the casino through this part of the walkthrough, while saving some more survivors in between my visits to the casino.

    Dead Rising: Case Zero walkthrough Part 5: Case 0-4 continued

    Right near the beginning of this part of the walkthrough I find the last part I need for the bike. You need to trade the Broadsword for the handlebarfrom Jason. They will also join up with you so you can save them, as they are part of the survivors to get you one step closer to being the “Still Creek Savior”.

    Before heading back to get the “Ride” for finding all of the bike parts, I stop and get some more money from the casino.

    Afterwards I head back out to collect more money once again, rinse and repeat. I then head to the pawnshop and spend all my money there to get “Small Town, Deep Pockets”. You no longer need to travel to the casino.
