Bioshock film still coming up

Imagine this famous pic on film. The Bioshock movie is still coming says Ken Levine
The Bioshock movie is still on tap and coming our way according to Irrational head Ken Levine, designer of the series.

“I will say that it is still an active thing,” Levine told DC radio station 106.7, as reported by Kotaku. “And it is something we are actively talking about and actively working on. I can’t tell you whether — you know, the movie business is complicated — I can’t tell you whether it’s going to happen for sure or it’s not going to happen for sure. But it’s something we are actively discussing, quite actively, and actively working on.”

So he’s basically saying it may or may not happen . . . but hey, at least that’s better than nothing I suppose. Naturally a movie based on Bioshock has it’s difficulties in transition to film. Like how the protagonist, Jack, is a non-entity in the game which …. “You can’t really do that in a movie,” Levin says. “That’s your guy, that’s the guy you are following through.”

Thus Levine says it will be a “super, super challenge” transitioning from the gaming medium to the film. The movie is being directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo of 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later fame.

What do you guys think, excited about the prospects of a Bioshock film?
