The Sims 3 consoles release date is October 26, 2010. GamesCom 2010 debut (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS)

The Sims 3 proper is coming to console with a release date of October 26th in America and October 29th in Europe on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and DS announced EA at their Gamescom 2010 press conference.
They also showed off all-new gameplay footage and revealed a number of new details that players can expect to see in the newest console entries in the long-running PC franchise, which will add new elements not found in the PC versions (and be playable with controllers while sitting on da couch!).
Karma Powers (with related in-game Achievements) allow you to mess with your Sims like never before, allowing them to “get lucky” one minute with the next… “epic fail” (I’m quoting from the press conference, don’t hurt me).
Karma Powers allow you to instantly change the game and your Sims in fun ways, whether it’s blessing them with “instant beauty” or cursing them for their annoyances. It’ll allow you to play with your Sims in new and unexpected ways but don’t get too cocky, because since this IS Karma, you need to be careful, as it may come back to bite you later on.
The console entries will also feature a unique creation system that’s more in-depth, and there will be an extensive online community and interaction features with sharing and downloading all taking placing within the game.
With The Sims 3 on consoles, EA promises “More drama, romance and action than Hollywood delivers in a decade.” Strong words, but it’s great to finally see a proper Sims game make the transition from PC to console. “Hell, it’s about time.”
