F.3.A.R. has officially been delayed into 2011 from it’s previous release date of October 20, 2010 confirmed publisher Warner Bros. Interactive.

A specific date for the game was not mentioned.

The game is the sequel to the hit FEAR 2: Project Origin, which sees Day 1 Studios taking over the reigns from previous developer Monolith Productions (although the developers are working closely to ensure that the game is the best it can be). Helping out with storyline cinematics and director duties on them is the legendary horror meister John Carpenter with writer Steve Niles providing the script.

The game will include many updates on FEAR 2’s gameplay including improved cover and co-op gameplay. The developers also promises more actual FEAR than ever before.

Players take on the role of both the protagonist and antagonist from Fear 2, with Point Man using his traditional FPS firearms to lay down the hurt along with his time powers while Paxton Fettel assists you with supernatural powers including Telekinesis, Stun abilities, Possession and the like.
