Metroid: Other M features a movie-style Theater Mode to re-watch all cutscenes for a 2-hour movie experience

Metroid: Other M will feature a 2-hour movie-like Theater Mode, which allows you to re-watch all of the game’s cut-scenes.

Like in a few other past game titles such as Halo 3 (Legendary Edition), Metal Gear Solid 3 (Subsistence) and Shenmue 2, these cutscenes will be compiled into a single film that will tell the entire length of the game’s story. Although they are in non-interactive form, they will also include pre-recorded GAMEPLAY footage to tie all of it together. Not too shabby!

The Theater Mode only becomes unlocked though after you have completed the game. The developers at Team Ninja said the reason they created this mode was so players could experience all of the dialogue and events of the story without having to replay the whole game over again.

Hopefully you’ll also have the ability to watch individual scenes. I’m sure that will be included. They should also add a soundtrack mode while they are at it. Give us the full experience!

Metroid: Other M is scheduled for release on August 31st in America, September 3rd in Europe and September 30th in Australia.

I can’t freakin’ wait!

Here is a new story trailer for the game.
