Medal of Honor‘s videogame soundtrack will be headed up by Linkin Park announced publisher Electronic Arts.

Linkin Park’s new single “The Catalyst”, from their upcoming album “A Thousand Suns” which releases on September 14, 2010, will make it’s debut first in Medal of Honor. You can get a tease of the new song along with footage to Medal of Honor in this trailer.

The full version of “The Catalyst” will debut on www.medalofhonor.com/linkinpark in an exclusive trailer directed by the band’s Joe Hahn that mixes live footage and intense modern military action from the Medal of Honor game into a unique music video. It will debut exclusively on the web-site on August 1st, one day before the song hits the radiowaves on August 2nd.

Medal of Honor will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 12, 2010.

Sunday Update: An all-new Medal of Honor gameplay/live action trailer directed by Linkin Park’s Joe Hahn has just been released online. The trailer features never-before-seen in-game footage set to the band’s first single ‘The Catalyst’ from their soon to be released album, A Thousand Suns.

Makes sense they would tie this in with their new album, A Thousand Suns, that’s coming out on September 14th.

I think it’s cool they produce their own CGI music video clips, so can’t wait to see the full video for the game song.

Yeah I think so too. By the way, that was me who added the “Sunday update” with the extended video. The audio file was even up on Linkin Park’s official website (I didn’t see a download button though).
