DC Universe Online Special Collectors Edition detailed

DC Universe Online Collector's Edition announced
DC Universe Online will be getting a special Collector’s Edition exclusive to the PC version of the game.

It will include many goodies for fans of DC Comics, so if you are at all interested in picking up this latest Sony Online Entertainment MMO, then you’ll probably want to spring for this CE version. Although it will cost you a cool $100 dollars.

The goodies contained in the PC Collector’s Edition include:

  • “The Art of DCUO” 56-page art book.
  • Issue #1 of the DC Universe Online: Legends comic book.
  • A classic-style Batman statuette.
  • DC Universe Online Collector's Edition Batman Figure PC exclusive
Additionally, those who pre-order the game will get various bonuses depending on where they pre-order from. Right now GameStop is offering an exclusive “Joker’s Confetti Bomb. A slapdash bomb designed by The Joker that’s sure to cause a riot.”

And to add some sweet icing to this cake, some MAJOR voice-acting power is being lent to the game with these big-names announced to voice various characters:

Mark Hamill – As always, he will be the well-known voice of The Joker.
Kevin Conroy – Also as always, he will be the well-known voice of Batman.
Adam Baldwin – Will voice Superman.
Gina Torres – From Firefly and 24, will voice Wonder Woman.
James Marsters – Spike from Buffy, will voice Lex Luthor.
Michelle Forbes – From Battlestar Galactica, will voice Circe (adversary to Wonder Woman).

“We’re excited that not only will Mark and Kevin bring their talent back to the DC Universe as part of DC Universe Online, but we’ve hit the jackpot with a full cast that are veterans of all the movies, TV shows, and games that our fans are crazy about,” said SOE VP of Development John Blakely. “Several of these actors are recognized as the definitive voices for these characters, and will help us in creating an authentic and exciting experience for fans when they get in the game.”

Very interesting stuff. The game will be released this November 2, 2010 on PC and PS3.
