StarCraft 2 will include 3D support after launch

StarCraft 2 3D (stereoscopic for PC) coming soon after launch
StarCraft 2 will be getting 3D support a little after launch stated the developers in a new interview.

This will make StarCraft 2 the latest game to hop into the stereoscopic 3D space, which is something that some publishers like Sony are really pushing this year and next. With big developers like Blizzard now on board, it looks like stereoscopic 3D support may become the standard sooner than everyone thought. Especially with Nintendo’s upcoming 3DS handheld getting big support.

But back to StarCraft. To quote from the interview:

“No; but we will be releasing 3D in the first few months, for those Nvidia cards and screens that support it,” Chris states, before we quickly pursue Nvidia’s presence at the event, and ask about those players running ATI cards. We receive a stock but believable response: “we’re optimizing for all systems.”

Here’s the latest commercial for the game. StarCraft 2 releases this month, on July 27th, worldwide! Exclusively for PC.
