Yes, Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development

Beyond Good & Evil 2 releases when pigs fly. But still in development says Ancel with small team
Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still coming, confirmed Ubisoft.

This will come as a huge sigh of relief for those whose hope fell into doubt after the game failed to show up at the E3 2010 show and wasn’t shown or talked about at Ubisoft’s E3 2010 Press Conference.

Series producer and Rayman creator Michel Ancel recently revealed some details on why the game is taking so long to develop while speaking at the Montpellier in Game conference.

The main reason it is taking so long (and no development hasn’t halted) is because Ancel is purposefully keeping the team small in order to “encourage creativity”.

He also revealed that he wants the game to contain a branching storyline that has “multiple outcomings”, something that may be hard to accomplish with a small team.

Ancel also wants to release the tools that Ubisoft is using to create the game for free, post-release. Finally, he revealed that the game is being made on a 3D engine, which makes the creation process much more complex than if he were making it non-3D.
