The first 24 Gold Bricks: are awarded to to you for playing through the game. That’s one gold brick for every level.

True Wizard Gold Bricks: Each of the 24 levels also has another gold brick that you can get for completing the True Wizard Challenge, to gain the True Wizard gold brick you must collect enough Lego studs in a single level to fill the yellow Wizard bar, the easiest way to do this is to simply destroy everything in sight and run around as quickly as you can to collect the fallen studs before they start flashing and disappear. — Go to the index at the top of this page for the “Walkthrough Video Guide”.

Hogwarts Crest Gold Bricks: Additionally, every of the 24 level has a Hogwarts crest hidden in 4 separate pieces scattered across each level collect all for of these and you will gain another gold brick at the end of the level for all your hard work. — Go to the index at the top of this page for the “Crests Locations Guide”.

Lesson Gold Bricks: Throughout the story mode you will take part in different lessons from Mandrake Handling to Wizard Duels. After completing each lesson the game will reward you with another gold brick.

Singing Mandrake Gold Brick: To get the singing Mandrake brick, you need to go up the moving stairs past Dumbledore’s office. But to get past Dumbledore’s office, you have to finish all of the story mode first. At the place where you would go down from the dorms, you take the steps up instead of down, then continue up the stairs to the place with the silver blow up object. Blow that up and then continue walking the stairs all the way up to the statue. Of course everyone’s already been there for the story. Once you get up there for the second time, however, you can now get into Dumbledore’s office and there are several things that you can do in this office that lead to a red brick and to getting Dumbledore himself. You will need an evil magic user: Snape, Quirrell, or Lucious will do. — Thanks to Josh.

Freeplay Bonus Rooms Gold Bricks: During your Journey through Hogwarts You will find certain bonus rooms / levels that are not a part of the main story. By gaining access to these rooms and completing the puzzle you can get yourself another 10 shiny gold bricks to add to your collection.

Students In Peril Gold Brick: Throughout the game in each level and in certain area’s of Hogwarts school in freeplay mode you will come across students in desperate need of your help some have been bound in spider webs others are simply in very dangerous situations if you can discover a way to save them from their predicament you’ll be given another gold brick to add to your collection. — Go to the index at the top of this page for the “Students In Peril Locations Guide”.

Building Statues Gold Bricks: There are gold bricks for building the statues in the basement of the Leaky Calderon.

Timeturned Gold Brick: Search each possible location after timeturning. You might have missed one and that’s why this “timeturned” gold brick sometimes does not get detected in the real-time. — Thanks to xxx.

Final Gold Brick: Try to sweep the floor in the golden brick store. There is a lot of dust on the floor. Sweep it totally clean and your last golden brick will appear. — Thanks to Patrick.

If you are having some trouble locating some of those last few gold bricks, you could get a little help by using the gold brick locator red brick. This will display a yellow arrow pointing you in the direction of the nearest gold brick.

Can’t find the gold brick locator brick? You could always use this password simply go to the Wiseacres Wizard supply store in Diagon Alley and enter the following code onto the chalkboard: 84QNQN

NOTE: Even though the Gold Brick Locator says that there’s a Gold Brick in the Library, there isn’t one where its indicated, so you can ignore that. Instead go the middle of the library, then go up on the right side, and do a Winguardium Leviosa spell on the torch to get the gold brick! — Thanks to Mike for the tip.
