Dragon Age: Origins – Leliana’s Song downloadable content will be released on July 6th, giving fans some more content for them to play through right after Fourth of July.

It will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC at a $7 price point.

Leliana’s Song is a prequel to both Origins proper as well as the Awakening expansion, and will delve into the full story of Leliana and her relationship with Marjolaine, before the conclusion that those who befriended her saw in Origins. This time they’ll also see things from her perspective.

In addition, fans will get to see snippets of the early life of other characters from Origins as well.

Here is the DLC’s synopsis:

“Assume the role of Leliana, a young bard involved in a criminal ring that deals in political secrets. Accompanying her mentor Marjolaine on a high-risk mission, Leliana soon finds herself entangled in a game of intrigue that she cannot escape with just her beauty, charm, or stealth. The only way out of this game is to kill or be killed.”

This expansion will net players who finish it an item that can be transferred to their other main Origins game but otherwise it won’t make any changes to Origins, except maybe your view of Leliana.

“Leliana is enjoying the life that the Orlesian game of intrigue demands—no ties, no consequences…It’s one of those heists where big consequences ride on naive decisions in dangerous places.”

This DLC will also have a full set of Achievements and Trophies to unlock.
