Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions trailer reveals Spider-Man 2099
Spider-Man 2099 in videogame form is coming thanks to Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions; Whose fourth comic-book-based world has been now been revealed.
2099 joins the two previously revealed “dimensions”: Spider-Man Amazing (Based on “The Amazing Spider-Man” comics) and Spider-Man: Noir.
As you can see in the trailer below, the futuristic setting of Spider-Man 2099 will introduce some very interesting mechanics into Spider-Man, including some very cool aerial/flight battles and a futuristic city. I’m getting more excited about this game every time I see it. It truly looks like it could be Spider-Man’s “Batman: Arkham Asylum“.
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions will allow players to travel through four different worlds as distinctly different versions of Spider-Man from four universes across Marvel lore. Penned by Marvel comic book writer Dan Slott, the story takes players on a mission to capture the magical energy of the Tablet of Order and Chaos, which has been shattered and scattered across parallel universes. Gamers are challenged to battle fan-favorite villains such as the lethal Kraven and a custom, never-before-seen Noir version of Hammerhead, in a quest to restore the fabric of reality.
