Yakuza 4 coming to America and Europe in early 2011, confirms Sega

Yakuza 4 is being released in the West Sega has announced! It will be released in Spring 2011 exclusively for PS3.

This is definitely a great thing for fans of the series and a very great move by Sega. Kudos to them for doing something for the fans, since sales of the series in the West haven’t been big.

This news was announced via the official Sega of Europe blog. Here is what they had to say about it:

“Yakuza 4 is a very powerful number in this particular installment as not only will you experience the gritty atmosphere of Kiryu Kazuma’s experiences, three other characters will also be available to play. Each of them with their own engaging backstory and a gripping interwoven plot.” And that plot will bring the fate of the entire Tokyo underworld to the brink.

Additionally, you can send a question to Yakuza series producer Toshihiro Nagoshi himself via the official Sega blog. So get on it if you want to speak your mind to him!
