Super Mario Galaxy 2 Green Stars Locations Guide (Wii)

Super Mario Galaxy 2 Green Stars Locations Walkthrough Guide Screenshot. STAR GET!
This Super Mario Galaxy 2 Green Stars locations guide will be a complete video walkthrough from start to end. We help you collect all 120 secret, hidden Green Stars! Also known as Stars 121 to 240. Plus the secret to find the 241th star!

In order to start collecting Green Stars you will first need to find and collect all 120 normal Power Stars, you then need to finish the game by beating Bowser again for the Green Stars to show up. Unlike the normal Power Stars, Green Stars are not objective-based. Instead, they are simply “hidden” somewhere within the previous levels. Good luck finding them all! But we are definitely here to help. So if you can’t find one, check the list below to see it’s exact location and a video showing how to get it.

PRO TIP – PLAY AS LUIGI!
Green Stars are green for a reason! Who else do you know in Mario Galaxy that’s green? Okay, okay, yes Yoshi is green, but obviously the Green Stars are pointing to the under-privileged one known as Luigi! That’s because he can jump both HIGHER and FARTHER than Mario can. And he’s green, just like the Green Stars! Many of the Green Stars take giant leaps of faith in order to grab, so remember to try using Luigi first instead of Mario. This will make many of the difficult Green Stars easier to get. To change into Luigi at will, head into the Luigi Door located on Starship Mario. Now that Mario has gotten 120 Power Stars, it’s Luigi’s time to shine! GO GREEN MACHINE!

PRO TIP – ABOUT BRONZE STARS
It needs to be noted that any Bronze Stars you got while going for the first 120 Power Stars, must be completed yourself in order to earn your reward for getting all 120 Green Stars. Bronze Stars are given for failing a Galaxy too many times. Doing so causes the Cosmic Guide to appear. If you then use the Cosmic Guide, sh will show you how to get the Star. But doing so will earn you a Bronze Star NOT a Power Star. So if you have any Bronze Stars, you’ll need to complete that level yourself (you most likely will have a Bronze Star for the Wild Glide or Rolling Coaster Galaxies) in order to earn a Power Star. Only then can you collect your reward after earning all 120 Green Stars in the game.

PRO TIP – USE BACKFLIPS!
One of Mario’s best moves when trying to get Green Stars is the Backflip move. If you are having problems using other methods like the Triple Jump or Side Flips, don’t forget to try using a Backflip too (Hold Z and Press A). This can make some Green Stars, like #20 on Puzzle Plank Galaxy, easier to get. Thanks to Alex for the tip!

    Sky Station Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #1

To find Green Star 1, it is located on the very first planet of this level. In order to get it, you’ll want to perform a back-flip or side-flip onto the wall then Wall Jump off the house in the middle to reach it.

    Green Stars #2 and #3

    Sky Station Galaxy

To find Green Star #2, it is located on the planet where you find the oscillating yellow platforms. As they reappear, ascend them. However when you reach the top with the Launch Star, DON’T use it. Rotate the camera around you instead and you’ll see the Green Star hovering in the air on the opposite side of a white fence. To snag it, line up your sight and jump towards and onto the Green Star!

To find Green Star #3, you’ll find it located in the section with the glass and Banzai Bills. Navigate through this part of the level until you reach the end. Normally you’d take the Launch Star, but instead of doing that, jump on the last platform and ride it up. It’ll lead you to the Green Star.

    Yoshi Star Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #4, #5, #6

To find Green Star #4, it is located in the beginning area. Find a Yoshi Egg to ride Yoshi, because you’ll need him to Flutter Jump and reach this Green Star. You’ll find the Green Star opposite the hill where the Comet Medal was.

To find Green Star #5, it is also located at the first area. This time you’ll find this Green Star at the far end. It is located on the side of the area with a fruit that turns into a Launch Star when you lick it. You’ll see the Green Star floating over a hole, and will have to use Yoshi’s Flutter Jump ability to reach the Green Star safely.

To find Green Star #6, it is located beyond the side-scrolling section where you find the normal Power Star. Thus it can be a tricky one to find. You’ll see it beyond the last Flower Peg and up in the air. Now you are probably asking yourself, “So how do I reach it?”. Good question! In order to get this tricky Green Star, you’ll have to perform a Yoshi Dismount maneuver by pressing Z and A. This causes Mario to Backflip off Yoshi and into the air, thus grabbing the Power Star while Yoshi plummets to his doom!

    Flip Swap Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #7 and #8

To find Green Star 7, it is located at the section where you find the green electrical “fence”. To discover it you’ll need to flip the platforms to red. You’ll notice that there is a shadow, indicating the Green Star high above. In order to get it, you’ll need to perform a triple jump (Jump three times). Then, during the final jump where Mario flips, spin at the height of the flip. This will give you enough air to collect this Star!

To find Green Star 8, it is located in the area with the rolling Chomps. Like Green Star 7, this one is floating in the air. However you can get it by simply backflip or sideflipping then spinning in the air at the height of your jump.

    Spin-Dig Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #9, #10, #11

To find Green Star 9, you’ll locate it on the planetoid with the tall towers and flowery enemies. The Star is “hidden” above the red fence area between the two halves of the planet. To reach the other side of the planet you normally need to use the Spin Drill. However for this Green Star, find it a long the red fence. Get the Spin Drill and then backflip onto the fence with the Drill in hand. Now jump and spin. You’ll bounce off the fence and into the Green Star!

To find Green Star 10, you’ll locate it among some reappearing yellow platforms, a Launch Star and a black hole ready to suck you to your doom if you fall. This is right around the area of the Checkpoint Flag. You can see the Green Star up in the air, above the Launch Star. You can reach it by carefully performing a triple jump. Just be careful not to fall!

To find Green Star 11, you’ll locate it at the side-scrolling portion with the dirt that you drill through with the Spin Drill. When you find the Star, you’ll notice that it seems impossible to get. At the part that rebounds you to the right, DON’T kill the enemy. You’ll need the lil guy to reach the Green Star. In order to get it, you must purposefully get hit by him. This will cause you to lose your Spin Drill. Now you can simply wall jump up to the Star to add it to your collection!

    Rightside Down Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #12

To find Green Star 12, you’ll locate it at the portion of the level that goes into a isometric, top-down perspective after you get the Fire Flower. At the green platform, you’ll find the Green Star floating off to platform in the upper left of the green part of the ground. To get it simply Long Jump!

    Green Star #13

    Rightside Down Galaxy

To find Green Star 13, you’ll locate it towards the very end of the level in the side-scrolling section with the Thwomps and the switching gravity right before the normal Power Star. You’ll see three Thwomps. What you want to do is backflip onto the rightmost Thwomp. Now ride him and you’ll see a new secret area. Long jump to the platform with the crystal on it to your right and then Wall Jump up to the Green Star.

    Fluffy Bluff Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #14, #15, #16

To find Green Star 14, you’ll locate it near the start of the level. You’ll notice a shadow on the ground in the grassy ring area that is from the Green Star above. In order to reach it, you’ll need to become Cloud Mario. You’ll find the Cloud Flower near the base of the tree. You’ll then need to create three Cloud Platforms to reach the Green Star. Alternatively, you can climb up to the giant tree, Backflip and create a Cloud Platform at the height of your Backflip (Duck then press A to Jump and spin to create a Cloud Platform). And then Long Jump from your new Cloud Platform to reach the Green Star.

To find Green Star 15, you’ll locate it high above the sheer cliff wall at the start of the stage. Naturally, you’ll need a Cloud Flower to reach it. You can do so by creating platforms up to the Green Star or fall from on top of the cliff (make sure to create a Cloud Platform if you think you’ll fall to your doom).

To find Green Star 16, you’ll locate it on a green hill that’s near the Chimp Peak where you get the regular Power Star at the end of the level. As with the rest of the Green Stars on this stage. You’ll need to use a Cloud Flower and create Cloud Platforms in order to reach the Green Star.

Bowser Jr.’s Fiery Flotilla Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #17 and #18

To find Green Star 17, you’ll locate it high atop a castle tower. But it’ll take a few steps to reach this tricky and hard to find Green Star. From the beginning, navigate your way through the stage until you reach the Thwomp. Get on top of the Thwomp (Wall Jumping or Back Flipping is in order) and then Long Jump towards one of the castle walls. Be sure to perform a Spin by shaking the Wii Remote just as you are about to hit the wall, so that you start to slide down. As you slide, press A again to perform a Wall Jump and spin again to get on top of the castle wall. PHEW! Now simply navigate across the wall and over to the Green Star that’s hovering over the far corner tower. Nice work!

To find Green Star 18, you’ll locate it beyond the Launch Star at the lava planetoid section. Before attempting this test of endurance, be sure to get the Life Mushroom at the start. Once that’s done, navigate across the platforms and to the Launch Star. You’ll see the Green Star off in the distance. “How do I get that?!” you say. “I don’t have to jump in the lava… Do I?!” Yes my friend! That is exactly what you must do. And that is why the Life Mushroom is so important. Mario’s rear for your gear! Take a running or Long Jumping leap off and into the lava and try and aim Mario to the Green Star as you fly up from the lava. Once Mario’s ass is burned he’ll be hard to control, but keep at it and eventually you’ll touch this Green Star! CONGRATULATIONS! All Green Stars from World 1 are yours! STAR GET!

    Puzzle Plank Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #19, #20, #21

To find Green Star 19, you’ll have to perform some tricky manuevers, but doesn’t require too much searching as you’ll spot it to the side of the starting platform! In order to reach it, you’ll need to get on top of the Question Mark Block that is under the Green Star. Accomplish this by Butt Stomping the screen. You’ll then need to move in the air to miss the Question Mark block and then Spin to land ON TOP of the Question Mark Block. Now simply perform a backflip and the Green Star is yours! Phew!

To find Green Star 20, you’ll need to be a speedy little Gonzales. If you look far off into the distance from the starting platform, you can see the Green Star hovering far off in the distance beside the vertical wooden Wall. It is this platform that you need to Triple Jump off of and then Spin in the air to reach the Green Star. However as soon as you start running towards the Vertical Wooden Wall, saws will begin cutting the wood, including the vertical platform which eventually falls. You need to Triple Jump and Wall Jump off this wall BEFORE it falls. Try to time your third jump before the shadow of the Green Star. This is a tricky one to get and it really just takes mastery of Mario to succeed. GOOD LUCK!
    – Update: Reader Alex suggests using a Backflip instead of a Triple Jump to reach the Green Star. If you can’t get it with my method try out the Backflip! Thanks Alex!

To find Green Star 21, as the Star above, you can see it if you have a keen eye from the starting platform. It is once again in the wood-cutting section (but further). This time it’s hidden behind a small platform with a 1UP Mushroom. Simply wait for the piece you are standing on adjacent to the platform to start sinking as it gets sawed off, and you’ll be able to grab the Green Star.

    Hightail Falls Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #22 and #23

    Hightail Falls Galaxy

To find Green Star 22, you’ll need to reach the very top of the first vertical track that you race up with the Dash Pepper while ridding Yoshi. You don’t just reach the top, but the Star is actually located on a platform at the tip. To get there, you’ll want to grab the first Dash Pepper and then stay to the far left as Yoshi takes off up the ramp. Before the Dash Pepper runs out, grab the second Dash Pepper, as you reach the top, you may want to run in circles a bit until the Pepper runs out, and then flutter jump to the actual top platform where the Green Star is awaiting!

To find Green Star 23, you’ll locate it off to the side of the top corner of the second-to-last vertical track. This is the track that comes near the Launch Star that takes you to the hidden area. You’ll find the Green Star off to the side of the purple section/corner of this track. Use the Dash Pepper and make it to the purple corner, then perform Yoshi’s Flutter Jump as you go off the side. Try to either land directly on the Green Star or land on top of the purple section and then leap towards the Green Star (Flutter Jump to make sure you snag it). This can be tricky and will probably take several tries. Good luck!

Hightail Falls and Boulder Bowl Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #24 and #25

To find Green Star 24, you’ll need to look up (Press Up on the D-Pad) at the section near the end where you are tasked with navigating some Flower Pegs with Yoshi’s Tongue to reach the next section and the next vertical track. If you look up, you’ll notice that the Green Star is floating above, perfectly aligned with the Flower Peg that’s furthest to the right. To get it, you’ll need to navigate while on Yoshi to that rightermost Flower Peg, then swing towards the Green Star, jump and then Flutter Jump towards the Green Star. When Yoshi is at the height of his jump, you’ll need to leap off Yoshi (Hold Z and press A) and hope that you’ve remained aligned with the Green Star. If so, you should sore straight into it and it’ll be yours!

To find Green Star 25, you need to Wall Jump up the vertical gray, metallic platform that is located at the end of the first area of the level. Instead of getting the Rock Mushroom, skip it and just make your way over to the Vertical wall. Normally you are supposed to use Rock Mario to ram into this wall to knock it down, but if you pay attention you’ll see that the Green Star is located on a small platform above this wall! So leave it vertical, and as normal Mario, Wall Jump up it. Do this by jumping at the wall, sliding down, pressing jump to Wall Jump, then spinning in the air and landing against the wall again, mix and repeat. As you reach the top, perform a Spin Jump to land on the tip top of the vertical wall. Now you can see that the small platform is just above you. To reach it, you’ll have to carefully perform a Side Flip (run in a direction, move the Control Stick in the opposite direction and Jump) then spin at the height of your jump. Do this and you’ll barely make it to the platform, but the Green Star will be yours!

    Green Stars #26

    Boulder Bowl Galaxy

To find Green Star 26, you’ll find it beyond the gray metallic wall in the first area. Knock it down with Rock Mario, and then proceed until you get to the bowling section with the RED AND YELLOW platform. At this area STOP! Do not roll up the ramp. Instead, use first-person mode to look off the edge of the ramp, and you’ll notice the Green Star. Hop into it and it’s yours!

Boulder Bowl and Honeybloom Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #27 and #28

To find Green Star 27, look off the edge, beyond the wooden fence, behind the Rock Mushroom in the second area where you find the rolling boulders. You’ll see the Green Star down there below the edge of the platform. Jump to it and you’ll add it to your collection.

To find Green Star 28, you’ll find it hovering up above the section with the Berries that bounce you into the air when you land on them. To get this Green Star you will need to be Bee Mario. Then bounce up high from the highest berry and use all of the Bee’s flight power to reach the Green Star.

    Green Stars #29

    Honeybloom Galaxy

To find Green Star 29, you’ll need to make sure you are Bee Mario near the end of the stage when you reach a section where a rope swing (piece of wood with a vine attached) leads into a normal swinging vine. Normally you are supposed to swing from the rope swing and into the vine and keep going. INSTEAD, once you release from the rope swing, fly upwards and land atop the piece of wood. From here, you can reach the Green Star that is floating between them by leaping and flying upwards and to the right. The Green Star is yours!

Wild Glide and Cosmic Cove Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #30, #31, #32

To find Green Star 30, you’ll notice a small hole below a mushroom near the water of the first section of the stage. The Green Star hovers just slightly above the water. Push the Wii Remote downwards to fly into it and snag yourself a Green Star!

To find Green Star 31, you’ll need to make a hard bank to the right just as you exit the canyon area and into the section with the goal (in the shape of a Sun Ring). Simply turn the Wii Remote to the right and fly into the Green Star to complete this challenge. Unfortunately, this is one of the hardest Green Stars to get in the game! There is real no strategy to it, and you’ll just need to keep trying until you actually fly into it. I Green Star was one of the last ones I completed cause of so many failures and so much frustration at not being able to fly into the Green Star, even though I knew where it was! GRRR!

To find Green Star 32, you’ll need to make yourself to the button at the top and freeze the two Waterfalls. As you ice skate over to them, if you press Up on the D-Pad to look upwards, you will notice that there is a Green Star off the side of the green platform at the top. Wall Jump up the waterfall to said green platform, and leap off the side and into the Green Star to nab it.

    Cosmic Cove Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #33 and #34

To find Green Star 33, you’ll locate it to the right of one of the vertical shafts of suspended water. This is the last one you swim up in this section of the stage. To the Green Star, you can either swim up to the water above the Star, let yourself fall out of the water and then Spin into the Green Star, or you can swim all the way up the water and to the platform above, then Long Jump off the edge and fall towards the Star and into it from above.

To find Green Star 34, it’s much similar to Green Star 33, you’ll find it floating to the left of the side-scrolling section on the platform where you get the Key. Instead of grabbing the Key and proceeding forward, you’ll need to Long Jump off of this platform and into the floating Green Star. If you go into first person by pressing Up on the D-Pad while on the platform, you can see the Green Star floating off to the left.

    Bowser’s Lava Lair Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #35 and #36

To find Green Star 35, you don’t have to look long or hard as the Green Star is located right at the beginning of the stage. Beyond the Whomp, you’ll notice a rock sticking out of the lava that seems to be sparkling green…. Hmmm! Long Jump towards it and allow your hero’s butt to be melted. As Mario leaps off into the air holding his behind, try to navigate and land ON the Green Star which is behind the rock.

To find Green Star 36, navigate your way through the stage until you reach the area where the Munching Skulls are eating the floor, stop. Look down and you’ll notice the Green Star is hovering below the floor where the Munching Skulls are chewing. Leap down into it, CAREFULLY, and land on this Green Star to add it to your collection!

    Tall Trunk Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #37, #38, #39

To find Green Star 37, you’ll need to make your way to the top of the wooden platforms around the tree in the beginning of the stage. Use Yoshi’s flutter jumps and Side Flips to reach the top platform of the tree which has a Life Mushroom on it. Floating above this platform is the Green Star you seek. To get it, perform a Side Flip while riding Yoshi, then press Z and A to do a dismount from Yoshi while at the top of your Side Flip jump. This should give you enough height to nab the Green Star!

To find Green Star 38, you’ll see it in the section with the rotating trunk. It is located in the middle and high above the platforms. Use a Blimp Fruit (located below a Question Mark Coin) and float to the left and towads it (hold A) as Blimp Yoshi. You should be able to reach it.

To find Green Star 39, you’ll easily spot it near the end section of the slide before you reach the Wigglers. To actually get the Green Star you’ll need to time your jump perfectly to successfully land on the Green Star.

    Cloudy Court Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #40, #41, #42

To find Green Star 40, this Green Star is easily spotted high above the head of the green dinosaur that you find at the start of the level. To reach it you’ll need to create three Cloud Platforms using a Cloud Flower found nearby. Simply backflip then create a platform, repeat, until you reach a distance high enough to be level with the Green Star, then Long Jump over to it. That was easy!

To find Green Star 41, you’ll locate it off to the side of the giant Drum Cymbal in the air. Simply use the Cloud Flower that you get on the drums below the cymbal and create Cloud Platforms to reach it.

To find Green Star 42, you’ll need a Cloud Flower just like with the above Stars. You’ll find this Green Star located in the air hovering above the normal Star. Do a Long Jump UNDER the windmill then create Cloud Platforms using Backflips to reach the Green Star.

    Beat Block Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #43 and #44

You’ll find Green Star 43 located beyond a corner with a crystal on it. To reach the Green Star perform some Triple Jumps after breaking the crystal (so it’s out of the way) and leap into it.

To find Green Star 44, you’ll easily spot it in the pyramid section. You can reach it using a Side Flip off of the second-highest row to reach it.

    Haunty Halls Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #45, #46, #47

To find Green Star 45, you’ll locate it before going into the first Launch Star. You’ll see a Teleporter Pad near it. Instead of entering the Teleporter Pad or the Launch Star, you’ll see the Green Star off the side of the platform with the Teleporter Pad. Do a small leap into the Green Star to get it.

To find Green Star 46, look into first-person at the section with the green walkways that move into the sides. You’ll spot the Green Star floating high above, and a Triple Jump is required to reach it. Just make sure you line your jump up perfectly so that the land below you doesn’t move as you are trying to reach the Green Star. You also may need to perform a Spin.

To find Green Star 47, you’ll locate it above the final section of the level where the Giant Boo chases you. You’ll need to use a Triple Jump to reach the Green Star just as it begins. Make sure to time your second and third jumps to leap off the rows of moving platforms. Use Spin at the top to reach it.

    Freezy Flake Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #48

To find Green Star 48, you’ll spot it in the slide section after you break the Giant Ice Bowser statue with a Fireball. The Green Star is floating near the top of the slide about halfway through it. To get it, jump and spin before you reach the Green Star.

    Green Stars #49 and #50

    Freezy Flake Galaxy

To get Green Star 49, you’ll find it at the final area with the lava pool and the giant Ice Bowser statue. This Green Star can be hard to spot. If you go into first-person you might be able to see it. It sits just off the edge of the platform near the snow platform closest to the edge. Long Jump from that platform and over the edge, then Spin at the end of your jump to land beyond the platform and on the Green Star. This Green Star can also be hard to get because of the camera angle.

To find Green Star 50, make it through the level until you reach the area that is covered in a blizzard, making it hard to see in front of you. Find the Blue Star Rabbit on a wooden platform. Run off the edge of the platform and you’ll land in a hidden area below that features three 1UP Mushrooms and the Green Star. SCORE!

    Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #51 and #52

To find Green Star 51, you’ll want to navigate your way through the level until you reach the multicolored lift that takes you up. At this part pay attention to the left, where you will see some Star Bits followed by the Green Star. In order to get the Green Star you will need to roll and jump towards it. Touch the Green Star and it’s yours!

To find Green Star 52, navigate through the stage until you reach the very end. Here you will battle with a Silver Chomp. Instead of fighting him, look towards the left corner and you’ll spot the Green Star. Run from the Silver Chomp and leap towards the Green Star to add it to your collection.

Bowser Jr’s Fearsome Fleet Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #53 and #54

To find Green Star 53, use Yoshi to shoot the Bullet Bills at the beginning of the stage, aiming for the cannon on the right side. After blowing it up, you can jump towards the Green Star.

To find Green Star 54, look to the right of the second wooden airship. You’ll find it above the wooden plank, high in the air. To get it, slowly inch forward until you are between the ropes, then carefully do a Side Flip and then Flutter Jump and you’ll reach it.

    Green Stars #55 and #56

    Supermassive Galaxy

To find Green Star 55, you’ll see it floating above the giant spinning Coin that is near the beginning of the stage. To reach the Green Star, you’ll have to perform a Triple Jump, with the last leap being from the Massive Coin. You’ll then have to Spin in the air to touch the Green Star. This will probably take you a few tries before you’re successful. Good luck!

To find Green Star 56, you’ll need to ride the walls down below the Thwomps. It’ll be a gap that you can Wall Jump. The Green Star is floating on the left side. What you want to do is Slide Down the right side. When you reach near the bottom, jump. Make sure you don’t hit the other wall but continue below it towards the Green Star, then Spin into it!

Supermassive and Sweet Mystery Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #57, #58, #59

To find Green Star 57, navigate through the level until you reach the small planetoid with the three Giant Koopa Troopas walking around it. Find the Green Star’s shadow, then duck and press A to Back Flip up towards it. Do a Spin at the top of your Back Flip and you should have enough height to reach the Green Star. You can also do an Infinite Lives cheat on this part by Long Jumping onto a Koopa Troopas shell, then holding A and Right on the Control Stick to keep bouncing. Stop when you’ve made as many lives as you want!

To find Green Star 58, you’ll be able to spot it just beyond the Checkpoint Flag in the middle of the chocolate square. To get it, use a Bulb Berry so you can see the ground, then navigate to the chocolate square. Stand directly above the Green Star then wait for the Bulb Berry’s effect to wear off. Once it has, you should fall directly into the Green Star.

To find Green Star 59, you’ll see it floating off of the platform with the Comet Medal, which you can find by making your way through the level beyond the first half where you simply head right. Use a Bulb Berry so you can see the Comet Medal platform that comes up before you continue FORWARD in the level, where the pancakes take you to the end. The Green Star is floating off to the right of the Comet Medal platform. Use a Flutter Jump with Yoshi to reach it.

    Honeyhop Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #60, #61

To find Green Star 60, you’ll spot a Red Balloon at the section of the stage where you are holding onto a flower and floating towards a new planetoid. Simply float into the Red Balloon and you’ll get the Green Star inside.

To find Green Star 61, look above the Giant Queen Bee. You can reach the Green Star by using Bee Mario to fly up towards it from her stomach.

    Flipsville Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #62, #63

To find Green Star 62, walk out from the beams on the platform with the first Launch Star. You’ll find the Green Star floating there.

To find Green Star 63, navigate through the level until you reach the second area with the rolling Chomps. The Green Star is above on the roofs near where the Chomps come out from. Use a combination of Wall Jumps, Back Flips and Spins to reach the Green Star and add it to your collection.

    Green Stars #64

    Flipsville Galaxy

To find Green Star 64, you’ll need to perform an extremely tricky leap. You’ll find the Green Star located above a Launch Star near the end of the level beyond the spiked platforms. To get this Green Star, you’ll want to Butt Stomp to walk on the flipside of the platform with the Launch Star. Navigate to the raised corner with the white-picket fence. Now you will need to make a small leap of faith off the edge! Due to the gravity switch, you will float up and towards the Green Star! Spin as you get close to help you run into it, but this Green Star is one of the hardest to get and it can be quite tricky to actually run into it. Good luck!

    Starshine Beach Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #65 and #66

To find Green Star 65, look for the Palm Tree that you’ll find at the edge of the level. The Green Star floats above it. To get it, use Yoshi and do a Side Flip plus Flutter Jump to get on top of the Palm Tree. From here, leap ON TOP of the Question Mark Block. Finally, jump up towards the Green Star and dismount Yoshi with Z+A to reach the Green Star.

To find Green Star 66, you’ll locate it floating high above the water near the tower in the deep water section of the lagoon. To get it, you’ll need to ride Yoshi and then eat some Dash Peppers to speed across the water like The Flash. To actually reach the Green Star, you’ll need to jump towards it, Flutter Jump (hold A), then dismount Yoshi (Z+A) and finally, Spin into the Green Star. Make sure to do your first Jump early as Yoshi will speed at an incredible rate. This little jump can be tricky so it’ll probably take you a few tries before you can add this Green Star to your collection.

Starshine Beach and Chompworks Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #67, #68, #69

To find Green Star 67, you’ll locate it high above the cake-like platform in the water. But to reach it, you’ll need a Cloud Flower. To make the Cloud Flower appear, you’ll need to Butt Stomp the switch at the top of the tower in the deep water (swim to it from below). Once you’ve become Cloud Mario, you’ll then need to reach the cake. But touching water turn Cloud Mario into normal Mario! So you’ll need to find a Leaf Raft and use it to reach the cake (stand on the edge of the raft to manuever it). Once you’ve made it to the cake, you’ll need to rotate it by standing on the edge until it’s facing straight up (be careful not to touch the water!). Then you’ll want to bounce up off the tip and towards the Green Star. When you’ve gotten a good amount of height, Spin to create a Cloud Platform. Now simply Backflip and Spin to create Cloud Platforms until you reach the Green Star. PHEW!

To find Green Star 68, you’ll spot it in a place you probably always thought a Star should be . . . on the “assembly line” of rolling Chomps near the start of the level. To reach the Green Star, you’ll need to get past the rolling Chomps first. And stay alive! To do this, backflip as a Chomp is coming toward you, then Spin in the air to clear them and land safely as the Chomp rolls on by. Mix and repeat until you reach the end. There is a safe spot you can take advantage of directly below where the Chomps first emerge. Stand here and you won’t get squashed. From here you can Long Jump to reach the Green Star.

To find Green Star 69, you’ll locate it in the section that features a Switch you need to Butt Stomp, in order to activate rolling Chomps from a golden box. Instead of hitting the switch, get on top of the Golden Box by using a combination of Wall Jumping, Back Flipping or Spinning. Once on top you can easily navigate your way to the Green Star to reach it.

    Green Stars #70

    Chompworks Galaxy

To find Green Star 70, use Spring Mario near the end of the stage where you are ascending the tall tower. Halfway up, you’ll find a large, pointy Screw. The Green Star floats above it, and can be easily reached by leaping with Spring Mario. Congrats! You’ve reached 70 Green Stars. This is the same amount needed to beat the game normally, but keep going and you’ll eventually earn all 120 Green Stars to bring your “Star total” to 240!

    Bowser’s Gravity Gauntlet Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #71 and #72

To find Green Star 71, you can easily locate it above a stone tower sticking out of the hot lava. This is found toward the start of the stage before you head into the main portion of the fortress. You can easily get it by simply Long Jumping towards the tower, then Spinning to land on top of it. Grab the Star and it’s yours!

To find Green Star 72, look for a Question Mark block that’s located a bit after the Checkpoint Flag. The Green Star is found floating above the Question Mark block. Simply get on top of the block and Back Flip to reach the Green Star and add it to your ever-growing collection.

    Space Storm Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #73 and #74

To find Green Star 73, you’ll find it high above the first area where you use the blue-colored Pull Stars. To reach it you will have to use the Pull Stars on the right side of the Launch Star and “fling/slingshot” Mario. To fling him, press and hold A to hang on to a Pull Star, and then grab the Pull Star above you. As soon as you do, quickly let go of A and it should “fling” Mario. Don’t grab anything else and let him float towards, and hopefully into, the Green Star. This will collect it and add it to your list!

To find Green Star 74, navigate to the second level of the tower where you face the thwomps and can slow down time. Butt Stomp the time button to slow it, make it past the first Thwomp on the left side. If you look around you’ll notice the Green Star floating on the sides of the “rocket fin”. Simply walk down to it and it’s your’s!

Space Storm and Upside Dizzy Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #75, #76, #77

To find Green Star 75, you’ll need to take advantage of a Bubble Cannon! That makes this Green Star one of the hardest to find in the game, since you can only find it by purposefully getting caught in a bubble. But from which cannon? Navigate your way through the level until you reach the Launch Star and it takes you down to the area full of Bubble Cannon’s along the wall. Slow down time and enter the first red gate. DON’T go past the second red gate. Instead, allow yourself to get caught in the bubble from the final Bubble Cannon in this section. Stand in front of it when it shoots, and OFF Mario will go to the Green Star! TA-DA!

To find Green Star 76, you’ll need not look far, as you’ll find it in the first area of the level in about the middle section. You’ll easily spot the Green Star in the upper left corner. To reach it you’ll need to make a Long Jump towards the left as the moving pink section of differing gravity moves under it. As you are headed towards the pink gravity, SPIN before going into it. This should launch Mario up and into the Green Star.

To find Green Star 77, you’ll locate it just above where Green Star 77 was located. You’ll spot it in the upper right-hand corner. Use the shaft of pink up gravity on the left hand side to reach the top of the moving platform above you. Wait until the platform is near, and then jump into the shaft but exit to the side just as the moving platform reaches you so that you land on top of it. Now simply ride it over to the Green Star and Backflip into it.

    Boo Moon Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #78, #79

To find Green Star 78, you’ll locate it in the evil swamp section with the goo that kills you instantly, where you ride the pink snake platform. Ride it until you reach the Launch Star but don’t take the Launch Star. Instead Long Jump to the left where you’ll find another platform and another pink snake to ride. Now you will need to keep your eyes peeled and be ready, because this Green Star is one of the toughest to get, and you’ll only have a very short amount of time to do so. The Green Star will be all the way to the left and can be reached with a Long Jump during the part where the snaking pink platform does a U-turn and ONLY then. As soon as the U-Turn is taken, the platform will start heading away from the Green Star and you will have missed your chance. This Green Star may take many tries, but good luck!

To find Green Star 79, you’ll easily be able to spot it located below the moon when you reach the section where you fall onto the moon and are tasked with collecting Launch Star Shards. Instead of doing so, simply make a small hop of the edge of the Moon and toward the Green Star in the corner below it. Make sure you actually jump and then Spin in the air to land on it. GREEN STAR GET!

Boo Moon and Slipsand Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #80, #81

To find Green Star 80, navigate your way through the stage until you reach the pop-up book section at the end. The Green Star is located above. To get it, stand on the platform while the house is flat that’s in between the two windows. You’ll need to Butt Stomp the button then quickly run over to it. When the house pops up, you’ll be in perfect position to backflip onto the house. Then quickly Long Jump towards the Green Star to snag it!

To find Green Star 81, navigate through the level until you reach the Checkpoint Flag. When you do, turn around and walk towards the screen. Directly behind the Checkpoint Flag you’ll see a stream of sand pouring out of the structure and into the abyss below. The Green Star is down there! To get it, make a small leap off the edge and slide down the sandfall and into the Green Star! Wahooo!

    Green Stars #82

    Slipsand Galaxy

To find Green Star 82, you won’t have to look hard as you’ll find it to the left of the Sand Slide just as you start sliding. So as soon as you start sliding, pull to the left and keep sliding into and “through” the Green Star to collect it. This can be tricky so you’ll probably have to make a few attempts before you actually get it.

Slipsand Galaxy and Shiverburn Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #83 and #84

To find Green Star 83, you’ll find it in a similar position as that of Green Star 80. Except instead of being on the left of the Sand Slide, you’ll find it on the right. You’ll spot it just after the section with the rolling enemies that you have to avoid. As soon as you get passed them, carefully make your way to the right edge. You’ll eventually run right into the Green Star. This one should be easier to get than Green Star 82 was.

To find Green Star 84, you’ll spot it’s sparkling glow upon the volcano once that active bad boy is frozen. To freeze him, navigate through the first section until you reach the switch at the end. Butt Stomp it and the whole area with freeze, including Mt. Saint Helens. Run over to the now frozen “inactive” volcano, grabbing the Cloud Flower, and use Long Jumps to reach the summit, where you will find this Green Star.

    Shiverburn Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #85

To find Green Star 85, navigate through the level until you reach the second area, which is a hotlava-sphere with rock platforms that rotate around it. Make it to the other side where the Launch Star is but don’t take it. Instead, go into first-person and look around (press Up on the D-Pad). You should spot the Green Star near the surface of the lava. Navigate across the stone platforms that align with the Green Star and Long Jump towards it. Do so just as another platform rises from the lava beneath the Green Star. You can now simply jump up to grab it and add it to your collection.

Shiverburn and Fleet Glide Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #86, #87, #88

To find Green Star 86, you’ll locate it at the end of the level near the icy section where the falling fire meteors burn lava into the ground when they hit. You may have noticed before that there is a lone Cloud Platform here with a 1UP Mushroom. Now that Cloud Platform also features a Green Star above the 1Up Mushroom! But in order to get the Green Star you will need to make it to this section with Cloud Mario and at least 1 Cloud out of your 3 intact. NOT an easy task! At the opening section, get the Cloud Flower only after you have frozen the lava, and rememeber to not use any Clouds except for the extremely difficult section, which you may help to skip with two Clouds (but don’t use the last). Also, do NOT hit the Checkpoint Flag, so that you can get the Cloud Flower again if you mess up. Once you reach that lone Cloud Platform with the 1UP and the Green Star, simply Long Jump over to it (make sure not to use your last Cloud Platform yet). Once you are on top, backflip toward the Green Star and create a Cloud Platform. Now you can get the Green Star! WOOT!

To find Green Star 87, you’ll simply need to hold the Wii Remote down completely right from the start. If done successfully, you’ll dive at the steepest angle possible and grab the Green Star. Make sure not to move the Wii Remote at all or you may slightly miss it. Good luck!

To find Green Star 88, you’ll need to keep an eye on the left-most column in the section near the end with the closing door and the falling columns. This left-side column (the second to last to collapse) will break and as it tumbles this Green Star will be revealed behind it. Fly into it and it’s yours!

Bowser Jr.’s Boom Bunker Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #89, #90

To find Green Star 89, you should easily spot it floating just above the target that you have to hit when you shoot out of the cannon. Aim straight for it and you should collect it.

To find Green Star 90, you will similarly to Green Star 89, you’ll find this Green Star with a cannon. This time it is the second cannon. Instead of blasting yourself over to the cannon, turn the cannon completely around. You’ll find the Green Star floating in space to the left, simply shoot into it and it is yours for the taking!

    Melty Monster Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #91, #92

To find Green Star 91, you’ll find it located high above the first Launch Star. In order to get it, you’ll have to make use of those magic blue Pull Stars in just the right way. The trick to getting this Green Star is to pull yourself to the top first, then fling yourself down (as soon as you pull yourself towards the final top Pull Star, quickly grab the Star below to “fling” yourself downward). As you are flying downward and just about to fly out of range of the Pull Star, grab the top left Pull Star and “rubber-band” yourself back upwards. Pull this off correctly and you’ll fly into the Green Star and claim it for yourself! NICE!

To find Green Star 92, pay attention to the area with the miniature tornadoes buzzing about. There will be a swing that you can swing on at this section. Do so, and then leap off to the left side and off edge of the lava. You should land on the Green Star. Spin to make sure you make it.

    Green Star #93

    Melty Monster Galaxy

To find Green Star 93, you’ll need to be quick and have a steady hand. You’ll find the Green Star located off to the right side near the end of the last part of the level where you are rolling around as Rock Mario. During the part where you hit the “rope” wall and bounce backward, then hit the back rope to bounce forward again, you’ll spot the Green Star off the platform to the right. In order to get it, you’ll literally have to maneuver Rock Mario to roll into it (you don’t have to jump, you just have to aligned correctly). As you might expect, this one is extremely tricky to get. Alternatively, there is a box in a corner of the final platform where the Power Star normally is, that if hit will make you lose the Rock Mushrooms power and revert back into normal Mario. You will then have to make a precarious Long Jump back to the section with the Green Star. However, this method doesn’t necessarily make things any easier. Either way, good luck! It will likely take several frustrating tries before you get this one.

    Flash Black Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #94 and #95

To find Green Star 94, you’ll spot it in the upper right hand corner of the first building. Reach the top using a Blimp Fruit with Yoshi intact. Then wait for the Blimp to run out. Finally, leap towards the Green Star and dismount Yoshi with Z+A to reach the Green Star and add it to your collection.

To find Green Star 95, look for the Green Star’s glitter near the end of the level. Try looking for it from where the original Power Star was located. You’ll spy it hiding under the ground. Simply jump towards it and use Yoshi’s Flutter Jump to reach it easily.

    Clockwork Ruins Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #96 and #97

To find Green Star 96, you’ll find it floating above the second rotating Gear. To get it, you’ll need to stand in the center of the platform while at top and then Backflip and perform a Spin into the Green Star. This is easier to get if you wait for the shadow to appear and then get directly under it before jumping.

To find Green Star 97, you’ll need to navigate through the level until you reach the maze side-scrolling section. Hit the switch to change the perspective to top-down view, and then get onto the outer frame of the section (on top of the outer walls from top-down perspective). You’ll notice the Green Star waiting for you in the corner. Run over and nab it!

    Green Star #98

    Clockwork Ruins Galaxy

To find Green Star 98, you’ll spot it at the very end of the level beyond where the normal Power Star is; In the section with the giant rolling cylinders. Simply ride one all the way to the end and then Long Jump into the Star to make it your own. “I’M THE BEST!” – To quote Toad in Mario Kart 64.

    Throwback Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #99, #100, #101

To find Green Star 99, you’ll be able to locate it in between the section to the right and up the ramp at the beginning, where the gray stones try to push you off. You’ll find the Green Star hovering below in between to the two walls, so simply slide down them to reach it.

To find Green Star 100, navigate through the level until you reach the top and the boss fight with the Whomp King. Instead of killing this “King of the Whomps”, you’ll want to use him to your advantage to reach the sparkling Green Star above him. Stand near him so that he pounds the ground to try and smash you. Avoid being smashed (that’s not good), and then stand by his feet. As he is about to rise up, Backflip and then perform a Spin Jump so that you are now riding on top of him! This will give you easy access to the Green Star. “TALK ABOUT A STEPPING STONE!”

To find Green Star 101, look out from the end of the two long Cloud Flower platforms that extend from the center platform with the rotating wooden platform. If you press Up on the D-Pad to go into first-person here and look beyond the platforms, you’ll notice the Green Star floating off in the distance. To reach it, make sure you have a full Cloud Flower with 3 Clouds and Long Jump towards it, then Spin to make a platform, then make another Long Jump, etc. until you can waltz into the Green Star and claim it as yours! This level is an oldie but a goodie, eh. Too bad most of the other Green Stars aren’t this easy!

    Battle Belt Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #102 and #103

To find Green Star 102, navigate your way through the level until you make it to the planetoid with the Jack O’Lantern wearing Goombas and the glass container. The Green Star is easily found, and gotten, above the glass container. Simply Backflip to get on top of the glass and leap for the Green Star. That was easy!

To find Green Star 103, navigate through the level until you reach the planetoid with the burrowing moles. Once again, you’ll find this Green Star atop the glass container. Easy as pie!

Battle Belt and Slimy Spring Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #104, #105, 106

To find Green Star 104, navigate through the level until you reach the final planetoid. Ignore all the rolling Chomps and simply make your way over to the glass container . . . just as before. Okay this is ridiculous! It seems Nintendo has gotten a bit lazy . . . Either that or they are giving you some easy breaks for what’s to come!

To find Green Star 105, you’ll easily discover it in the cave with the columns right before you reach the spiked urchins. Simply look behind one of the pillars here and you’ll get your reward.

To find Green Star 106, navigate through the underwater section until you reach the end of the first part passed the underwater caves. Normally you’ll see a Launch Star and take that Launch Star to proceed. Instead, don’t take the Launch Star and allow yourself to fall out. You’ll land on a platform below said Launch Star, which contains a 1Up Mushroom for your secret discovery on the left; and your prized position, another Green Star, on your right.

    Bowser’s Galaxy Generator Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #107

    Bowser’s Galaxy Generator

To find Green Star 107, look for it beyond the section with the Hammer Bros. when you take the Flower. As you are floating downward, you’ll easily spot this Green Star. Float into it to take it back from Bowser’s grubby, greedy little giant reptilian hands.

    Green Star #108

    Bowser’s Galaxy Generator

To find Green Star 108, you’ll be able to locate it beyond the bridge with the Yoshi Egg. Although you may think you could reach it with Yoshi, it’s actually not possible as the Green Star is too far off in the distance. Instead you need to reach it with Cloud Mario. This means you must survive the Bullet Bill section with Cloud Mario intact, although you only need one Cloud to reach the Green Star. Once you’ve made it to the Yoshi Egg, simply Long Jump to the Green Star and create a Cloud Platform, then Long Jump once more into the Green Star.

CONGRATULATIONS! You’ve completed all of the Green Stars for all of the normal levels! Now there are only 12 more Green Stars left for you to nab to complete your quest! All of them are located in the Special World. Are you game?

    Mario Squared Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #109 and #110

To find Green Star 109, you’ll find it near the top of the level, beside the lava section that makes up Mario’s headgear. The Green Star is located below the green disappearing panel in the futhermost corner adjacent to the lava. Touch the panel to make it dissipate and carefully hop down to the Green Star below.

To find Green Star 110, simply look below one of the green panels that makes up the arm that Mario has up in the air. This raised arm holds the key . . . to your Green Star! Like before, step on the panel to make it disappear, then carefully hop into the Green Star and it’s your’s!

    Rolling Coaster Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #111

To find Green Star 111, be sure you take the left path when you reach the fork in the road. You’ll notice the Green Star which hovers above a section of the track. In order to reach it, you’ll need to align your Star Ball with the Green Star, roll up to the edge and jump. Get the speed and timing correct and you’ll add this Green Star to your ever-expanding-and-almost-complete collection.

    Green Star #112

    Rolling Coaster Galaxy

To find Green Star 112, you’ll spot it off the track to the right at the rainbow-like colorful section before you reach the green end platform of the track. This Green Star simply takes you leaping into it as you pass the small gap to snag it. You’ll have to time it right so just keep trying (or watch the video below) until you get it! I HATE THIS GALAXY!!!!!!!

    Twisty Trials Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #113 and 114

To find Green Star 113, simply Long Jump off of the platform and to the right as soon as you grab the Cloud Flower to turn into Cloud Mario. As you Long Jump, perform a Spin to create a Cloud Platform. Repeat this process until you reach the Green Star and collect it!

To find Green Star 114, look for it out in the void further down the level. Like with Green Star 113, you’ll need to Long Jump towards this Green Star and use your Cloud Platforms to collect it. Another lazily-placed Green Star!

    Stone Cyclone Galaxy Stars

    Green Star #115

To find Green Star 115, you’ll locate it above the Tox Box enemy that rolls around a section of the level beyond the rotating platform ring section. Just before the ramp that leads to the next section of the level, you should be able to see the shadow of the Green Star as it hovers above, right where the Tox Box will smash you. In order to reach the Green Star, you will need to perform a Triple Jump and then Spin to touch the Green Star. Do so with caution and try to start on your leaps as the Tox Box is rolling away. Good luck!

    Green Star #116

    Stone Cyclone Galaxy

To find Green Star 116, you’ll spot it off in a corner nearby the part that’s in between the two rolling Tox Boxes near the latter portion of this stage. Butt Stomp the button to slow down time and then run back to get this Green Star.

    Boss Blitz Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #117 and #118

To find Green Star 117, you simply need to navigate through the level, and survive, long enough to reach the boss fight with Major Burrows. You’ll find this easiest-of-easy Green Stars to nab floating in front of the tree. Simply use a Backflip or Side Flip to add it to your collection. BREAK TIME!

To find Green Star 118, you’ll need to defeat each of the bosses until you reach the fight with the Bouldergeist ghost/rock enemy. Instead of fighting him, simply run behind him and to the end of the platform. Off of the edge is this easy to reach Green Star. Simply jump into it. SHABLAM!

    Flip-Out Galaxy Stars

    Green Stars #119 and #120

To find Green Star 119, you’ll need to get ready for some Wall Jumping mastery. In the very first area, before you enter the pipe, use a combination of Wall Jumps, Wall Slides and Spins to reach the top of the Red and Blue platforms. Run over to the right and pick up a 1UP Mushroom. Now for the Green Star. It is located off the edge beyond the 1UP, to get it you’ll need to walk off the edge and fall into the Green Star. As always, try spinning to make things easier as you are falling towards it. BOO-YAH!

To find Green Star 120, you’ll locate it hovering beside the final Wall Jumping section! As with the regular Power Stars, this Green Star is a huge and frustrating experience to get due to the Comic Clones enemies that follow your every move. Stay ahead of them to which extent you can and with a little luck you will be able to Wall Jump off the red section and then Spin into the Green Star!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! You’ve just beaten Super Mario Galaxy 2 with all ONE HUNDRED TWENTY Green Stars! HUZZAH! Give yourself a pat on the back and reward yourself with a nice, juicy, tenderloin steak doused in A-1 Sauce. YOU DESERVE IT!

BUT WAIT….. Your quest isn’t done quite yet! Feast your eyes below for the LAST AND FINAL Star in the game! HELLZ YEAH!

NOTE The final Galaxy will NOT appear unless you have traded your Bronze Stars in for real Power Stars. If you have any Bronze Stars from your playthrough of earning all 120 Power Stars, then you will need to go back to those levels and replay it to earn the Bronze Star yourself without using the Cosmic Guide. Doing this will replace the Bronze Star with the Power Star. You must have all 120 Power Stars AND Green Stars for the final Grandmaster Galaxy to appear! “STARSHIP MARIO CAN NOW ADVANCE!” 😀

    Star #241

Star #241 – Grandmaster Galaxy Star – Prankster Star: The Ultimate Test
Get all 120 golden Power Stars and 120 Green Stars (for a total of 240), and you’ll be rewarded with an all-new Galaxy for the Special World … The Grandmaster Galaxy! Watch this video to figure out how to make it through this extremely tough level and claim your 241st prize!

COMET MEDAL – DO NOT FORGET to grab the Comet Medal on this level the first time you are about to beat it! You’ll find the Comet Medal located in the final section with the floating platforms and the deadly Hammer Brothers. You’ll see the Comet Medal off to the right beside the furthermost right floating platform. In order to get it, you’ll need to carefully navigate your way to the right side and take out the Hammer Bros. (time your jump just right so you can land before he throws another two hammers, then spin to knock him out!).

Be careful that you don’t get hit by any other objects being thrown, and walk over to the side of the platform where you can see the Comet Medal. Be sure you are aligned with the Comet Medal Coin, then carefully walk off the platform so you start to slide against the side of it. Then quickly press A to Wall Jump up and into the Comet Medal! Now be sure to hold the Control Stick so that you swing back in the direction of the platform and Spin so that you land safely onto it. PHEW.

But don’t rest easy yet. Just because you have the Comet Medal doesn’t mean you’ve earned it! Now you gotta still take out the three Boomerang Bros. on the final platform. Carefully make your way over to said platform and take them out. The way I did it was to jump on their head. Carefully leaping over or avoiding their boomerangs (remember that a boomerang thrown will come back towards you!).

I had a white-knuckled grip I was so nervous, but if you can hop or spin to defeat them, you’ll earn the Star and finish the level with the Comet Medal intact! Now the Prankster Comet will appear, allowing you to go for Star 242!!!!!!!!

Green Star #242 – THE FINAL STAR

This is the last and final level in the game and the FINAL Star. This Green Star is the Star to end all Stars, and the level to end all levels. Quite frankly, it is hard and frustrating as heck. If you thought the level was hard in Star 241, wait until you try this one. It’s exactly the same, but it’s a Daredevil Run meaning you have to survive without getting hit ONCE. This video will show you how to do . . . THE IMPOSSIBLE. It’s worth noting that after I got this Green Star to complete my quest, I was SOOO nervous that my hands were shaking so badly I could barely write! This one will truly take everything you have. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks to KrazyBrawl and MahaloVideoGames for the walkthrough videos.
